Re-commenting again. I made a lot of comments on this weapon on another Wowhead account that I used to have which I asked to be deleted after I got doxed, so my comments were removed when my account was deleted.

I've been trying to get this weapon since mid 2014 and occasionally I go for a run to still try and get it. Originally I wanted it for my Warrior, but then I started running for it on my Monk because I think the weapon model matches a lot of different transmogs for Monks. Well it's almost 2018 now and I still don't have this weapon. In the last 2 weeks alone I ran the instance maybe 40 times and didn't see it drop. Personally I think I've probably mastered the art of 'speed running' this instance haha...

I asked back in 2014 and again in 2016 from a Blizzard Mod via ticket if the item was still in the game. They confirmed both times that it was and wished me better luck on getting it. As of now I've mostly stopped running for this weapon as I've stopped playing my Monk. I probably ran this dungeon more than 300 times over the course of almost 4 years on 12 different toons and never saw it drop once. Not on any of my toons. If it was not for the 2 Blizzard Mods saying that it hasn't been removed, I'd have suspected that it has been.

For the record. Wowhead used to list the droprate back in 2014 at 42% and it was still listed as 42% in 2015 and 2016. Now in late 2017 it's listed as 6%. Honestly I'd say that it is even lower than that, but at least I am glad the droprate is more accurately represented here now.

Personally this is still my favourite skin in the game. It has a beautiful sparkling effect, almost like dancing steel but more subtle. The sword actually has quite high quality textures and they are quite big. 2 of them in dual wield looks great. For someone going for an older kind of Darkspear Troll type transmog, this sword is a must have.

After going to Zul’Aman for first time to get the Amani Battle Bear I noticed this sword in bag when done with all bosses and vendoring items. I set it aside while clearing room for hex sticks for Hex Mix achievement. After finishing clearing trash in dungeon I decide to look at this sword. Then I decided to go to Wowhead for some history on this odd looking weapon as sometimes a back story on weapon is listed in comments from other players. Sadly there was nothing but I did discover this is a low drop weapon from all the comments I read. So for any asking this does still drop and for those who don’t have it keep trying. I have found many weapons hard to get that I’m still trying to get but if you keep at it one day they will drop for you.

Definitely still drops, took me at least 30 runs though.

Welp... I am back... it's been 10 years and yep. I still do not have this sword...

I have gotten practically every single other mount, weapon and pet that I have ever tried farming for. This sword still eludes me.

This sword is also still the only one of its kind and the only one with this model. With the addition of the Zandalari race, this sword is now even more relevant for a Zandalari Shaman.
Wish me luck guys... hopefully it won't take 11 years...

The real kicker is that this dungeon used to have a normal mode I could reset over and over. Now after changing in Cata, it's heroic only and can only be done once every 24h.
Of course it's also in one of the most dead zones, with no flying and you have to walk all the way through Silvermoon too. After finally getting to this massive dungeon, you also need to kill 3 bosses for the door to open to the boss that drops this weapon.

I'll update this if I ever get this weapon.
