Good luck getting this. You have a much better chance with the mace. Which also, the mace is debatable better. The mace gives crit/mastery (usually top stats for plate melee) while this gives hit which unless you had another 2h that gave it, is useless.

It is a sweet axe. But, you have to save a troll and then there is only a 5% chance of it droping. So if you are in need of a 2h, go after the mace "Jeklik's Smasher"

Finally had this drop for me (DK Tank) which is BiS for me until i can get into some BWD raids.

We had 1 ret pally, 1 ele shaman and 1 resto shaman all from the same guild on another server. Guess what, they all roll need, a shaman wins and gives to the ret pally. God i was so pissed.

Much higher than 5% WoWhead reports 15% and I'd believe it. Either way, drop chances shouldn't prevent you from trying to get something if it's BiS (pre-raid)

Currently BiS pre raid for titan's grip fury warrior that isn't a pvp weapon.

Single Minded fury would use the Zulian Slasher since it's even better itemized than this.

I hate this axe. I have been running ZA soon 20 times and haven´t even seen it once. Same thing with the mace from ZG. I have all the best preraid gear now on my warrior but still using my Foe Reapers. Guess I will see one drop soon and loose it to a tank.

That is because no one is probably looting the 3rd chest (or not even making the counter).
This is not a normal boss drop, you need to kill the 3rd boss before the timer runs out, then talk to the prisoner, and at last loot the chest that becomes unlocked.
Most people nowadays don't even bother doing so, and that probably explains why you 'haven't seen it once'.

Anyone else ever notice that this axe resembles a spider? Look at the details on the head, it looks like three eyes. Then the way the blades are arranged could resemble fangs and the handle even likens to a spider leg.

Maybe it's just me.

got this just now out of Bakkalzu's treasure after the first (bird) boss. It isn't listed under the "contained in" section, which makes me think it has the possibility of dropping from any of the prisoner's caches
