It may not look as cool as the Whirlwind Axe or Ravager, but its better. The Ravager's proc is crap, worthless in combat. The +5 Str, +6 Stam above the Whirlwind is quite a bit. The DPS is just high enough to warrant this as my equip than the other two available at this point.

Perfect for Tanking at lvl40 (cause you dont do a whole lot :b )

To bad hordes cant get this one. There is no better 2hander for that level, except for pendulum of doom, but that one's hard to get.

Get a friend to help you get this, the minimum level for the quest to get it is 34. This is also good for shammies until they reach 40 and can get Duel Wield

Compared to the Whirlwind Axe - (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=6975#z0z), you're losing 4 Stamina, but gaining 5 Strength. Bonebiter also has a attack speed of 3.4 while the Whirlwind Axe is 3.6, all very small differences, but enough to give this Alliance only axe the advantage.

Looks a lot less intimidating, but gives slightly better results. Arms Warriors and Enhancement Shamans will be holding onto this for awhile.

The quest isn't easy, but it's worth it. Bring some higher-level friends.

I put a +dam enchant on it and used it for almost ten levels. For three or four levels, it's the bomb. For the next two or so, it's adequate. After that, I was getting mocked.

But it's adequate, even into your 40's, even if you're a paladin. (There just aren't many two-handed quest rewards at those levels, not for weapons of this quality, anyway.)

Just got this with some help from my friend. I'm a shaman and I would gladly recomend this one.
Fairly easy to get if have some high lvl friends.
Works great until you get dual wield at lvl 40.

This truly is a beut for level 30-39 twink arm warrs or ret pallies, the 10 stam converts into 100 hp and the 20 strength converts into 40 ap which converts into about an extra 2.85 dps

This weapon is absolutely god-like for Ret Paladins. I got it as soon as I could, slapped Fiery on it (since Fiery procs quite often, does a decent bit of damage, and gives you more SoComm procs, since SoComm can proc off a Fiery proc), and used it until I got my Ice Barbed Spear at 51. The combination of amazing stats, fairly slow speed, and a nice damage range means that if you keep the rest of your gear updated, this will still be doing quite well in to your late 40s.

Perfect for 39 Bg warrior (arms)spec this is the primary wep, yea whirlwind axe is nice but youll need the dmg-strentgh if your twinking at 39 arms. other than that i would take whirlwind for lvling

Personally i love this weapon and i think it's the best wep for MS warriors and ret pala twinks at lvl 39 because of it's awesome stats and very good top end dmg, also you can enchant it with Savagery, Mongoose etc.. any TBC enchant u want, so if ure low on gold i suggest grabbing this and it'll last u until lvl40+

Very nice reward from a pretty fun quest. Helped me out so much as this was an upgrade from http://www.wowhead.com/?item=6953. If you can find groups for Scarlet Monastery, then I definitely say that making the trip to Desolace to pick this us is worth it.
