If you are looking to farm the Battleforge set completely, there are a few easy ways:

1. Farming Arathi rares. Arathi rares all have the highest drop % for the pieces of this set.

2. Farming Scarlet Halls.

3. Gnomeregan actually has a decent drop % for any battle forged pieces, but to get a better chance at it you should do a full run. kill all mobs, etc.

Scarlet halls has low drop percentages BUT it makes up for that in the amount of mobs that drop it. The whole dungeon drops the set, so its easy to farm all the pieces in about 1 day to a week depending on your luck.
Even though Gnomeregan has a higher drop percentage, you generally have to run the full dungeon which takes 40ish minutes for me even with disengage + the sprint afterwards, and aspect of the cheetah. Pulling all the mobs in that dungeon is kind of terrible and hard which is why I say just farm Scarlet Halls if you're going to farm.
I farmed for 6 hours and I happened to get the full set in Scarlet Halls.
I then tried to farm Gnomeregan for it.
I didn't get nearly the same amount of times run thru as I did with scarlet halls and got more pieces because of it, while with Gnomeregan it took me forever to get 2 pieces and 1 Glimmering Mail piece I didn't actually even want.
The Arathi rare farming isn't so bad but it is entirely server dependent, whereas my server is kind of dead with the questers that appear every once-in-a-while.

This set isn't hard to get, just time consuming. Good luck everyone.

This also dropped off a Scarlet Torturer in the Old Scarlet Graveyard section of SM, you'll need a Scarlet Key to access it. Took 66 kills.
This also dropped off a Scarlet Gallant in the Old Library of SM. Key is also required. Took 131 kills.
This also dropped off a Caverndeep Ambusher in Gnomeregan after 3 runs.
This also dropped off a Leprous Assistant after 11 runs of Gnomeregan.
This also dropped off a Kurzen Commando after 25 kills in Stranglethorn.
This also dropped off a Venture Co. Shredder after 47 kills in Stranglethorn
This also dropped off a Syndicate Spy after 27 kills in Hillsbrad Foothills.
This also dropped off a Mangy Silvermane after 34 kills in the Hinterlands.
