Note that the old Elementium bar seems to have gotten a name change. The orange-quality bars are now Hardened Elementium Bars (with the old, epic-quality version of the ore becoming Elementium Ingots)

This seems like a pretty good indication that Thunderfury will still be obtainable come Cataclysm.

Assuming this is correct, it is best if one were to start farming elementium ore now, before the inevitable farming post expansion happens to keep leveling engineers happy.

Been waiting a long time for a change like this to engineering.

This change should occur between pre-Warlords of Draenor patch 6.0, or as the expansion hits.

My guess? Since the expansion itself requires unlocking from Blizzard's personal servers, then this will be something that one can get after the expansion has launched.

Farming these i was flying in circles up and down the map in Uldum, who are located south-west in Kalimdor, i do not know atm if this is the best place for farming Elementium bars.. but its """one of the best""" places to farm, you also get some pyrite ores, like 20 outa 300 elementium bars.. what pattern i used, was basically chosen by my "gathering" app: it showed me kinda a path from the ocean, east in Uldum, and flew alongside the border north, north-east, and followed the line between uldum and silithus and ungoroand stayed on the line just inside in Uldum, and followed that path all the way from mid-east to mid-west.. when you are north/north-west, just follow the river down again and the time u use on one circle is about the respawn time off the ores so you can keep this route constant and farm what you need in a swoosh:) just a couple off turns up and down and u should have 100-200:o pretty nice place to farm... will Upload a Pic with all my sitings off ores and a path that i followed, in screenshots and simmillar places for you to check it out! Will upload on the places this site allows me to.. :) The pic is from maybe my 3rd turn up and down(max5 rounds,100% sure) and as you can see its pretty much sitings! just keep following the edge from east to west. I Will also decheck up the other places you can farm this since Elementium bar, Hardened ele bar, and Pyrite bars it is used to buy Recipes from Hagras Wartaker in silithus, newest verision.. its mainly blacksmithing recipes, dunno about others.. will also update this if i find a better place to farm!
Also keep in mind that this is Cata stuff, but im uploading all this because Blacksmithers are able to buy what you dont Have allready and that increases your apperances whitch im all about for the time beeing! gl dudes =)
