I'm still scratching my head about this drop I won tonight. As a Fury Warrior I'm trying not to be seduced by the 3 sockets because I'd be forced to cough up the t9 triumph 4 piece set bonus (which in itself isn't a great loss). But it has Haste you say. myeh. The i245 T9 triumph has Armor pen. Still it's nice to see some plate w/o +hit or expertise as I'm floating in it. And as the above poster alluded to this could be a great piece for those who need to gem for hit/expts. Personally speaking I think I'll just leave it for Santa tonight as an abyss crystal with the milk and cookies.

Interesting note on this armor's graphic, like the warrior T10 gear for females, it has a bare midriff look reminiscent of BC and classic plate gear.

I can't post a screenshot for some reason, but you can see it by just looking at the model on a female from View in 3D.

this is an excellent example when you shouldn't aim for getting a socket bonus (except the time when you need lots of hit and nightmare's tear for meta)

For my Arms Warrior at least, Crit is rated not too far underneath Strength, so filling the slots with a Nightmare Tear and two Inscribed Ametrines (Str/Crit) is marginally better than 3x Bold Cardinal Ruby (Str). YMMV of course.

*EDIT* The Tear also fulfils my meta requirement.

Got this tonight for my ret paladin, abo$%^&ely loving it and i was only 12 emblems of t10 chest. Cbf theorycrafting what is better, this or t10 but being able to get my vengeful noose and three truth's instead, i couldn't be happier!
