Basically, this is obviously a better item than the Tier of the same ilevel because not only it has considerably more stamina but it even gets stamina gem bonus. As an added ..bonus it has considerable hit rating.

The 2-tier is basically quite good with all the taunting needed lately but the -10sec CD, I see it used less and less, at least on a frost spec.

I must say I had to put some time to think over this and t9.25 of Koltira's set helmet for tanking (Koltira's Faceguard of Triumph).

Obviously my dodge is going through the roof and parry looks appealing due to DR but I would still prefer having dodge than parry on an item and it's a minus imo on this piece.

On the plus side it has more Hit, which I don't feel like gemming into and I can cover with this piece and food, but much better for me, is that this one has a blue socket, which makes it awesome to collect the bonus.

Instead of spending DKP on guild raids for a token, waiting for a lucky roll pugging toc25normal, I suggest going as the only DK tank on Onyxia (or just drop the raid till you find one where you are, there's always another raid looking for you) and wait for this to drop and no need to roll it just falls into your bags :)

The T9.25 helm has superior avoidance and the potential for a set bonus. The offset chest and legs in T9 content is going to be generally preferred to the tier pieces, as they have higher stamina, and expertise instead of raw avoidance, so getting the four set bonus is unlikely if you go that route.

The Frostforged helm has superior stamina, hit, and a little freebie resist. Probably better for general purpose use.

Parry is always going to be lackluster compared to Dodge/Defense for a Death Knight because of how Forceful Deflection works.

The kicker is how much more difficult is to make Onyxia drop a class and spec specific helm out of the many she can drop, as opposed to getting a trophy and some badges together.
