I can't see this being used. There are other glyphs much better than this (check warrior forums for Elamdri's sticky about glyphs), for boss tanking anyway.

For trash? Okay don't let me hold you from trying to get aggro off your AFK paladin, then...
They should've added increased crit - or increased damage for this one imo. Reduced CD is not _that_ useful to waste a major glyph slot for Shockwave, it's not a skill you spam or break your rotation just to burn its CD you know.

Might be quite shiny for Prot-PvP'ers - tho.

Edit: Point is that other glyphs will give you more benefit for both trash tanking and boss tanking.

Let me insert my two cents here.

My main role in the raid is OT when needed, otherwise with brand new dual spec I spec Fury. So far in Ulduar there are bosses where I'm required to OT things (Rubble on Kologarn, dwarf adds on Razorscale (we aren't very far so far!)...

and in my tanking role this Glyph will be VERY good. Shockwave is ready 15% sooner so I can use it to get snap aggro whenever, or just generate more AOE threat in general.

I am looking for it. I am not a Main Tank, and generally single target threat isn't that important for what I do, so Heroic Strike and Revenge glyphs aren't that good for me. I use Cleave glyph and soon-to-be Shockwave Glyph and Last Stand glyph right now (just a general OH NOES glyph).

Please when you consider glyphs like these, remember that not all tanks are Main Tanks.

edit: Since this I've also done Thorim, and let me tell you this glyph is SO GOOD if you are in the arena. You mitigate a ton of damage and do more damage by having Shockwave with a 17 sec cooldown instead of 20.

A good glyph if you don't have threat issues on bosses. At the moment I pull about 5k tps on normal boss fights (aka not thadd) so tps really isn't an issue on boss fights for me. AoE fights on the other hand, they can be really tricky. We don't have a paladin tank in our guild so this will be a major boon for me.

Why is it so important who takes the hits? As long as its a tank not dps/healer its all correct. Not my repairbill, if i am able to do this a bit easier to control the mass and mitigate some damage off my fellow tanks, i'll do it.

From the perspective of a warr tank who runs Ulduar25 along with DK and Tankadin, often accompanied by Feral and often finds that its still too little to control the thrash properly this is great glyph.

I am going to switch my Sunder Armor glyph with it most certainly. (other glyphs i use for thrash spec is Cleaving and ofc Blocking)

This is a must have for any warrior tank, OT or MT. For trash/adds on boss fights, this is pure gold. Even for MTing, this is a fine glyph. Shockwave on CD is a net boost for both threat and damage. Unless you need more defensive oriented glyphs like Shield Wall or Last Stand, this is absolutely mandatory.

With this glyph, if you use Shockwave every time it is available, the stun will suffer from diminishing returns, even if no other stuns are used inbetween.

I think you are mistaken here.
Diminishing returns need a 15 seconds time interval to kick in:

When a spell with diminishing returns is used against a target in PvP, the first effect has full duration. Then it diminishes to 50%, then 75%, then the target becomes immune. Spells must be used on the same target within 15 seconds of the *end* of the duration in order to be diminished. In other words, if a target hasn't had a slowing spell active on them for more than 15 seconds, the next slowing spell will have full effect.

Shockwave has 20 seconds cooldown. This glyph brings it to 17 seconds, being 2 seconds ahead of the diminishing return effect on stuns.

In Mists of Pandaria this glyph has changed.

OLD: Glyph of Shockwave - Reduces the cooldown on Shockwave by 3 sec.

NEW: Glyph of Death From Above - Reduces the cooldown on Heroic Leap by 15 sec and increases its damage by 100%.

From Patch 5.2 PTR Notes:
Glyph of Death from Above no longer increases the damage dealt by Heroic Leap.
