Any idea why they are adding this if it is the same as the Brown Snake sold in Org? Are people too lazy to check the AH or the Steamwheedle AH? These sort of "cross-faction" pets go for 10-15g max on my server.

I hope they don't make the "faction" pets sold by city vendors BOP just so they can gouge for them in Dalaran. That would be ridiculous and it would !@#$ off a lot of people.

This pet needs to end up being different than the plain-old 30s brown snake. For 50g it ought to be something cool. My suggestions: "Coral snake" or "Green Mamba". The stripes or bright green would stand out enough to make it a cool looking pet worth 50g, not just a generic pet you bought only because you needed it for the mini-pet achievements.

I'm hoping this will be like the diamond back rattler style snakes you see in some zones and not just the same brown snake that the vendor in orgrimmar sells... because that would be idiotic...

Does anyone actually have this pet yet? Please speak up if so. Are we SURE this is something new in the game?

I have checked the vendor regularly since it was supposedly added and not yet seen it. Nor have i seen it in any auction house. Furthermore, I see no evidence of this pet existing on warcraftpets.com.

Edit: After looking a bit more, information suggests that this is the exact same item as the snake sold in org. Can anyone confirm it having the same item number (or at least that it says "you already know this pet" in the tooltip)? If so then there should not be two pages for the same item. That's just confusing.

Calm down people. The calico cat will also be added to the vendor. All is fair. Plus, this snake isn't brown, it's albino. It's new. Same as the kitty.

People tend to buy these pets (the Obsidian Hatchling, Albino Snake and Calico Cat) in the Auction House. Just list them and make some money. They go between 100 to 800g.

Strangely, is not listed in the new wowhead profiler.
So, it tells me that I'm missing a pet, in comparison with the in-game achievement tracker.

It appears as though it uses the spells to determine what is a combat pet, and the spell to summon this guy is not showing on that list: http://www.wowhead.com/?spells=-6

It took me a while to figure that out too, and hopefully the spell will get added. Was going to say either the spell added or the profiler updated to use the item list as well, but I'm guessing it scans your spellbook, so the item would be useless.

Edit: Just found the spell, and it's uncategorized, so as soon as it gets categorized properly, it should show on the list.

Weird, but when I go to buy it, it says I already know it. But when I check my pets, I don't. I'm wondering if this IS the same as the Brown Snake, as was mentioned above, even though the item numbers are different.

This is my own stupidity. It was an addon saying that I already knew it, not WoW itself. Once I bought it, I was able to learn it.
