This is THE ammo pouch of WotLK.

Giving 4 slots more than Netherscale Ammo Pouch, this is a clear update over it with a grand total of 5600 bullets fitting in to it.

Given a hunter with 2.0 attack speed (after applying haste effects), this gives us a total of 186 minutes and few seconds of autoshotting. Continously firing Steady Shot with a two second cast time effectively halves that time to 93 minutes and few seconds. Throw in a few stings and some Arcane Shots and you should still have bullets for around 90 minutes or so of continuous firing.

If you are coming from TBC I wouldn't bother buying this unless you or a friend can make it yourself (on my realm at least). I wish Blizzard would install a mechanic to upgrade existing items like quivers and pouches and bags rather than having to buy a whole new one outright. This is selling for roughly 400 gold in my realm's AH. Since I have a Netherscale Ammo Pouch that has 24 slots, I am paying 400 gold for four extra slots. That's just not worth it, especially since there are Ammo Machines that basically represent 10 slots of ammo for one normal bag slot. Maybe I'll upgrade my pouch in the next expansion around 2010.

If you plan on doing a 1 night naxx clear, be sure to bring more bullets than what fits in this. I ran out of bullets before we even cleared the 4th wing.

Still not large enough... 25man Naxx I go through 9K in ammo. Need a 40 slot pouch to fit it all in ammo slot.

Thank goodness for Ark Inventory which lets me click a button to restack and moves all my ammo from my inventory into my ammo pouch. :)

With 3.1 changes, this ammo pouch will hold a whopping 28,000 bullets. At least two and a half full Naxxramas runs.

■Ammunition goes away completely - ranged weapons will simply do damage, like melee ones do. Arrows and bullets will become gray items come Cataclysm, and quivers will be transformed into large unique bags (this change will affect only Hunters!). No more ammo pouch patterns will be added to the game.

I wonder if you have this and the quiver you will get two 28 slot bags :-)

This might turn into a 22 slot bag in patch 4.0.1 (which is the equivalent quality non-specialized bag- a Glacial Bag), according to Bashiok.

As of today this is a 20 slot bag and gives you a green quiver on your back.
