Why put mp5 on cloth...?
I don't get it. Spirit is so much better and cheaper in itemization... for cloth classes, that is.
Don't think they'd make this a cloth piece if they didn't want clothies to take it.
Don't tell me this is for the other classes, it's a rep reward. They could easily have made it mail and prevented a couple bad players from grinding wrong rep.

As a healadin, this is good piece - it's got great stats with nothing wasted, but the lack of any crit whatsoever prevents it from being something I'd go bananas over. Having said that, getting such a good item from reputation is always a plus, and I'll be working my ass off to get it (unless I get a Naxx drop w/ crit first ^^).

I also generally don't like wearing lower proficiencies unless a piece truly outshines my current item, as although armor doesn't benefit healing at all, there were many times during my BC career where having plate did save my life, and thus enable me to continue healing. Having said that, so early in end game (at the very start of it even) I won't have the luxury of being so picky. And unlike a lot of robes, I actually really like the look of this one. ^_^

Restores 26 mana per 5 sec is equiv mana regen to about 120 spirit and it works during combat ......

Given the negative scaling of spirit from 70 to 80, and the consistency of mp5, spirit is no longer the utterly dominant stat it was at level 70 post 2.4.

Spirit is superior in fights with low FSR time, mp5 is better with more chain casting - as one would expect. A balance should be aimed for.

This said, Intellect is a better stat than either (with raid buffs and replenishment), particularly if you are a priest that can stretch to take mental strength.

Options, people, options. As a disc priest i would grab this robe in a heartbeat if I were already exalted with Kirin Tor. It is an excellent alternative to the craftable but very expensive Spellweave Robe. I still prefer Spellweave (being a tailor), but Crackling Flame is not to be so easily dismissed.

Hard choices...the best part about WoW.

Great for Mages, we do nothing but cast and Spell Haste is more important to us than it is to Priests or Warlocks. Not to say they don't cast, but Mages use Intellect and Spell Haste a lot more efficiently than any other class of any spec.

The mana regeneration would benifit mages more than priests as Priests have a use for Spirit, and Mages do not. Of course, there will be those buffs that increase spell damage based on spirit, talent points, but I find that Mages will look into this as a must.

I'm a prot paladin at the moment and I like to keep as much holy and ret gear on-hand as possible just in case a group or a raid needs heals/dps rather than tanks. This robe, among other epic non-plate caster gear available from rep vendors, does a nice job filling in the holes in my healing set without breaking the bank. The stats are solid and I don't really mind that it's cloth rather than plate.

I will be picking this up for my restoration shaman.
I would rather have 25mp5 over something like 1.3% Spell haste.

As mp5 is our only regen stat other than passive Int, this will be a welcome implement to my set.

This Robe is excellent for Caster Classes that want to range dps, but if have too, drop and heal. Priests benefit from this very well, especially myself as a Shadow Priest. With combined tallents like http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=51167 and http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=47585, I've been able to effectively heal in my dps gear.

as someone posted above, this screams healin priest. well since it's won't be too long and we'll get 3.1 and spirit won't be as good for mana regen, go for this... and i am goin also as holy priest.

my 80 dual spec priest (shadow/holy) currently has http://www.wowhead.com/?item=36991 ..would this be a fairly large steup? the haste and the mp5 would really be worth it i'd think over the titans raiment and what enchant would you put on this? +10 stats?

These robes are very well Itemized for a gearing-up Resto Shaman.

I'd enchant with 8mp5 or +8 / 10 to all Stats
