actually, this is gonna sound bad but i think that Uther's one of the few who got their wish, hes been patiently waiting and watching Azeroth fight itself and tear itself apart while building his army and he obviously cares to win, but the fact hes now on the ENEMY'S side kinda seems where the irony really is...

he's careful not to die, or he would still be old arthas, with an unpowered frostmourne cause the throne woulda shattered, so probably dead

hes patient to not send hordes of his own troops into a pointless death since hes obviously WAITING for us at his throne of power...

to quote Timone and Pumba: "what if he was on Our Side?"

we need to get his alliance so he can give frozen scones to everyone =D

After Arthas killed Mal'Ganis in Northrend and got Frostmourne, he was ported back to Lordeon/Dalaran , he "become the king" and give all of his kingdom to the Scouge.
But, another Dread Lord called Varimathras gived him a quest to bring to life Kel'Thuzar (Arthas killed him before he went to Northrend), he accepted and to complete the quest Arthas killed 3 Paladins including Uther Lightbringer.

Arthas really has a thing with these coins. Three of them, all from important characters in his life (Terenas, his father; Jaina, his lover; Uther, his fellow paladin).

It looks like the more wishes you make (and the more coins you spend on it, consecutively), the worse it becomes. Or maybe the fountain is controlled by Arthas; given how many bad things it does. On second thought, the fountain may be controlling Arthas. Damn, I wouldn't get anywhere near that cursed fountain. In fact, nowhere near Dalaran.

I'm beginning to wonder if this fountain is the true reason behind the lag from Dalaran, hell maybe even all lag in general. It seems to be a very evil object, so I wouldn't put it past it.

Really Random but the storyline with Arthas reminds me of the storyline of Star Wars..Arthas wanted to save his people, so did Anikan. Arthas had a mentor which was Uther, Anakin had Obi Wan. Arthas was tricked by Ner'zhul to become evil and Anakin was tricked by the Emperor. I just thought this was sort of cool.

The fountain is Yogg in disguise. He's LOL-ing at all the people who tossed their coins in like Uther and Arthas, but what made this fountain TRULEY evil was http://www.wowhead.com/?item=43638. That made me cry because I imagined Arugal with a buncha puppies in an old cottage. :c /cry

This is getting annoying, been fishing in the fountain for the last gold coin for my achievement.
1444 fished up items....still no gold coin from Uther, im beginning to think he was a cheap bastard?

Actually Darkroot Arthas killed Uther The Lightbringer in a battle to get the sacred urn where his Father´s (King Terenas Menethil) ashes where kept. It was the only way to get Kel´Thuzads remains to the sunwell to rescurrect him to summon Archimonde to Azeroth.
