This is happening to me right now. It's pretty aggravating. I've died nine or ten times so far due to glitches with the dwarves.

The dwarves will either stand around and do nothing while I get flattened, or they will hit once and then stand around doing nothing while I get flattened. :P This is happening throughout both Loken's Lackeys and The Earthen Oath quests, with all mobs, randomly. Sometimes it works great, sometimes it doesnt work at all, sometimes it works and stops working for no reason I can discern. Very disappointing.

It'd be a fun quest if the pet worked right. =( Right now, though, it's just making me want to log out and not play anymore. This is the fifth or sixth bugged quest I've encountered in the past few days. I love Northrend but man, they have to get on these bug fixes.

Edit: I finally just soloed them with my spirit wolves. Fast and easy and no dealing with a pet bar. Shame - would have been a fun quest otherwise! As an enhancement shammy I appreciate the joke. =)

for mages dont use your image when you have these summoned for then you lose control after and you will be required to resummon them, otherwise it would be the fantastic 8!

Just so everyone knows, this item is friggin useless.

The dwarves are retarded and won't do anything without you directly instructing them. I'm a hunter, so without my pet my damage is greatly reduced, not to mention the dwarves will not hold aggro and it's next to impossible for me to get ranged to shoot him down. Even if I get them to root him down, it doesn't last long enough. By the time I run far enough to start shooting, it's finished and here he is coming after me again.

All in all I chose my pet over the dwarves and I killed everything just fine.

My advice would to bring a friend or two - they'll be much more helpful than this 'army'.

In order for these guys to be any use to you at all,you have to turn your pet bar on if you have it turned off with a bar mod.
If your pet bar is turned off,they will just follow you around and watch you get your ass handed to you by the elites.

most annoying 'pets' ever. not only do they have no auto attack, they will always try to follow you (meaning hunters are stuck with the mobs in their dead zone for most of the fights) and will even stop casting in order to follow you if you try to move away
a real shame, because with a bit of common sense thrown in it'd be a lot of fun
as it is, most classes will likely find it easier and more fun to complete without using the dwarves than with
