This means Jewelcrafters will now have to play by the same rules everyone else does when it comes to meta gem requirements.

To recap:

"Prismatic" quality no longer exists and the "Jeweler's Gems" icons are now adequately mono-colored, a visual indication showing they'll only match one socket type.

The only benefit you'll get is the flat added value to your favorite stat which will only activate socket bonuses of the appropriate color.

Their value is being upgraded in the same patch, but that's the time when unlimited use epic quality gems are also being introduced.

This is the BEST gem for PvP Arms Warriors. Level up JC and socket this to three of your sockets (maximum benefit comes from having Blacksmithing and Jewelcrafting). Socket all your gear with ArP gems and you will see a HUGE difference in PvP, especially against those pesky Death Knight's :P
