This dropped for us tonight in 25 man Malygos. No one noticed they were BoE till after I got them. Then I started to think "how much could I get for this, probably some of the best cloth boots in the game right now" HMMMM.

Well, I kept 'em, and I love em. :)

I'm a priest, not a lock, hehe. Seriously- I don't think gear should be given out to people who don't produce. It's rewarding fail. And if some guild wants to finance their progression over their gear needs, then they're retarded.

Not really. There are a number of items in the game that have item level 226. Many of them drop from kel'thuzad, and many others also come from Alexstrasza's Gift.

Try searching wowhead and you'll see.

According to Rawr, for a jewelcrafting arcane mage, these are roughly equal to exalted wyrmrest boots if they have a JC only gem in them. Therefore, it depends on what you have in other slots (and where else you have your 3 JC only gems) as to which boots are best in slot.

Dps casters would be wise to at least consider Boots of Imetuous Ideals, a BoE from Loatheb 25,if you can find any way to use the hit. Arcane mages, locks and shadow priests all consider the Arcanic Tramplers as the best dps boots from the hit cap, and should show restraint but can't be criticized for rolling on these.

These are currently listed as the tied-for-third most expensive BoE in the game, but is probably a rarer find than the Naxx 25 drops like it. Don't be surprised if you first see these boots up for more than the listed 3500g estimate.

I know this is prob gunna get flamed and/or downgraded, but these are also appealing to resto druids (maybe balance, I'm not sure... I don't spec fat bird lol). They are the best Spirit/Haste boots ingame. Bliz usually makes cloth/leather equivilents so trees/booms don't roll on clothie stuff, but they failed on boots this time, haste-wise anyways.

I'm typically very for the "wear your armour level, not lower", but there has to be some exceptions when a lower armour level piece is just better in every way. The next best Spirit/Haste boots that are leather are from 10naxx Widow... /wrists

I know I'll probably never get my hands on these boots via raiding, because they are cloth and people are hard-headed and ignorant sometimes... But I'll be hunting these down on the AH! For my Tree AND my lock... Talk about expensive :(

got these boots last week from 25m maly (as a resto druid i must say its gooooood) :P

In the days of BC I thought priests were being loot hordes for thinking they should be the only ones allowed to roll on gear with sprit stats because they weren't the only ones who had a mana pool. They won the argument in BC because we needed them to heal, we knew if they didn't get their way they would resort to acting like spoiled children and leave group. When in all reality those items should have been rolled on and distributed fairly. Now in WOTLK a majority of the priests are shadow and roll on gear for DPS spec there went their cloud.

Also note that Blizzard has made class specific gear in wotlk with spirit for classes that were "not allowed" to roll on spirit gear in BC. Blizzard thinks classes besides priest need spirit apparently and they were the designers of the game...

Depends how you won them, t1ger... if it was a free roll across the entire raid, fine. But if you told the raid leader you needed 'em, and then sold 'em on the AH... BAD TREE! (and you'd better hope your raid leader never found out too)

I just won these boots from Malygos 25m a few minutes ago. Gotta say they're a very nice BoE item which can either bring you a lot of gold or possibly beef up an alternate/current toon.

I've also uploaded a picture in case anyone is interested in seeing what they look like.

lol. If you think a healer isn't going to roll on some upgrade because it has Hit, meanwhile you're rolling on anything and everything, you're nuts. We don't need you. You need us. DPS is a dime a dozen (even less on some servers).
