Same look as the DK low lvl quest shoulders, Blood-soaked Saronite Plated Spaulders.

Looks very cool, and fairly nice itemization, minus the fact that the plate shoulders have +3 more wasted stats on stamina than the leather, but still these are better if you don't need the extra +8 hit rating.

This time around Blizzard put in some effort and actually some of our 10-man plate gear out match the leather gear, of course not all but its a from TBC where every leather piece minus the heavy +hit rating ones outmatched the plate versions in dps.

Seems what they say on the paladin forums are actually true, "Remember the lesson learned as a child, if you don't QQ you have to sit there in your &*!@."

Let's take the Sons of Hodir shoulders Spaulders of the Giant Lords as the shoulders you will be upgrading to these from.

With that in mind, for a warrior (dunno the deal with other classes sorry) we get:

+0.91% Hit (+1.03% with the socket bonus)
+80 Health
+0.15% Critical Hit
-14.4 Attack Power (Which can be negated with a gem)
-3.5 Block Value (uh-oh!)

Clear upgrade for any warrior, as you would expect from an epic.

There Dropped last night and I won them for my ret set. Nice Size able upgrade from crafted saronite shoulder. Nice Blue Socket...probally throw a red or orange in there to ramp up the AP since I dont need the plus hit.

so my question is: how do they compare to the 10man t7 naxx shoulders? the t7 shoulders have lower crit , but with the 16+ crit gem and the socket bonus, they have slightly more. same goes for these shoulders, only with AP. now both shoulders have either arp (t7) or hit (these). in my book hit is still quite better than arp rating, even after the hitcap.

so the verdict: the shoulders of bloodshed are slightly better than the T7 shoulders

these pieces make up a non-set set (lol) for plate wearing DPS. Matches the starting blues for DKs.

Horrible socket bonus...
who would slap on a blue (or purple) gem just for +4 HR ?
Ignore the +4HR and slap on a red +16 STR would be wayyy better.

That being said, this shoulder has a huge amount of stam, you don't really need more from the socket.
A slight upgrade from the Sons of Hodir shoulders, and the Hit Rating goes to waste if you're already hit capped.
Nevertheless, an upgrade is an upgrade.
