It's also possible to apply this poison to a spare offhand weapon, switch your original offhand in combat with a macro,

and then Shiv the target. This will allow you to use up to many different types of poisons on a single target such as Wound Poison VII or Mind-numbing Poison as long as you have the spare offhands to switch to.

switching weapons will result in a reset swing timer which means dps loss.
if you want to keep up 3 different poison types, you are going to have to switch your weapons quite often. not a good idea since you cannot kill your target with utility debuffs.

This is very useful when leveling (at least at low levels), most mobs (especially damn Murlocs and casters) will try to escape at low health and bring some friends to you, this poison allows you to kill the mob before you get in trouble.

I know this will sound weird, but Crippling Poison is not purchasable by non-Rogues. I went to four different <Shady Dealer> vendors on my Druid and all of them don't have Crippling Poison for sale. However, sending my rogue to all of them it showed up. I was planning on buying some on my Druid and sending it to my Rogue, but apparently this isn't possible.

Crippling Poison can be applied to your Thrown weapon.
So when there's an enemy player taunting your rooted/slowed/polymorphed/whatever character 30 yards away, you can throw something at him, and it may slow him down dramatically to give enough time for catching up.

As of the 5.0.4 patch all poisons for rogues have turned into grey vendor trash. They can no longer be obtained from vendors, though poison vendors do still appear on your mini-map if selected; they just don't actually vend poison. If you had these in your inventory they still exist, and you might want to hold onto one of each as a collector's item.

You *can* still obtain them if you didn't have any before the patch. They still can be found inside pick-pocketed junk boxes, particularly .
