Seems like many drops in Northrend offer alternatives to hit rating (expertise, haste). It's nice to see a few pieces of gear that still include it. This piece offers a heaping helping of hit.

Likely the diversity is to allow players to tailor their gear, swapping out equivalent pieces with different stats. With the recent changes to rogues, hit rating dropped a little bit in importance compared to other stats, so it is more likely rogues will be looking to keep their total hit rating as close to their poison cap as possible. Past that point, Agility, haste, expertise (up to the cap), ArP and raw attack power may become more attractive.

Overall, a very nice (and good looking) piece of gear to take with you into Naxx and potentially beyond.

While the chain gang pants are very nice. I think I would go for these because of the extra avoidance, armor and hit. With the upcoming changes to how a feral druid gets his armor every little bit extra will help and hit is better for threat generation then crit until you are hit capped.

hmm.... Seems like the WoTLK version of Midnight Legguards, which also was the best pre-raid pants a feral druid or rogue could get. However, thise are absolutly great for a dps rogue, with a high amount of stamina, agility, hit (which have become a bit rare with WoTLK pre-raid gear) and a the biggest amount of attack power on pre-raid pants, I have ever seen. If you are a rogue or feral druid, then go though Gun'drak heroic, got some emblems and hope that thise will drop, because they are truly awesome. I am a rogue myself, I am a getting thise as fast a possible, along side with Hemorrhaging Circle, which also drops from Gal'darah in Gundrak heroic.

Well, as a dps Rogue I was happy they dropped and had no competition rolling for these. Boy, do they feel good on me. They don't look as well as on a blood elf, but my undead will get by.

nice leggings mostly for a feral druid. i was looking at the stats and also compared to other leggings and there about the same for rogues as they would be for druids (pre-naxx anyways). if u need some good leggings for naxx, deffinetly get these. awesome leggings for a rogue or druid.

I saw these when i cleared Gun'Drak like ½ hour ago.

Don't get me wrong, stats are great for pre-Naxx, especially considering how less pieces have hit than before, but those things barely get down to the knees!

Actually, from what EJ and MMOchampion's forums have said, poison hit cap *with* 5/5 Precision is more like 260, and even less if you are raiding with a boomkin or a shadow priest. Their aura *does* affect your poison hit as poison is, for game mechanics purposes, a spell. (If you are Alliance then it's even lower with the Draenei buff.)

My only problem equipping these awesome pants is that I lost a LOT of expertise, which is capped for rogues at 24/24. I went from 26 with the Kirin Tor legs to 20 with these (I lost over 60 expertise). For rogues, it's important as you wish not to be dodged when you hit things. So be ready to change your glove enchant and put on some expertise gems when you get these.

Otherwise, I have absolutely no complaints.

I am facing the same problem with expertise loss with these legs. dropped yesterday for me.

prior to that i got valrous gauntlets from os25 which dropped my expertise, i enchanted them 15 expertise and was ok.I was using Kirintor revered legs with 16 expertise gem that capped my expertise. 25. (6,25%)
now with these it drops to 19 for exchange to 40 hit and 16 extra agi. other crafted gear or dropped doesnt make up for expertise and its so much harder to stack it then hit.

and whats with Ebon Blade exalted chest stats, cmon bllizz armor penetration?...put some xpertise hit or crit on it for Naaru's sake.

Just got these on my feral druid, hit 80 a few days back, on the 4th run, they finally did drop. Only one who could use them in the group. Glad thats over with, is it just my server or do people not like running H Gundrak, I very rarely see any groups for it. I personally like it, 5 Emblem run, whats not to like. I don't know, but had a hard time finding people who were up for it.
