All the Enchant Cloak - Superior Nnnnn resistance recipees seem to have a peculiar drop pattern, watch out if you want to farm them for reselling:

1: They will only drop to enchanters even though they are not BOP and can be sold on AH (for quite good money).
2: They will not drop for you when you have learned the enchant (i have looted +thousand Damned Aphotecaries and Cult Alchemists levelling pets and i got nature and frost resitance in about the first hundred, none after i learned it 1). The same may apply if you have in inventory
3 : Drop rate is about 1% (or chance to drop is 1:100, hope for lady luck but be prepared for the worst).Never tried Frostbrood though, probably better drop rate but worse to grind.

In case anyone is wondering - there's no minimum enchanting skill requirement for this drop. It drops and is visible/lootable even for an enchanter with a skill of 1/75.
Same goes for all the other Superior Resistance formulas found in Icecrown. An alt with a free profession slot could make some quick and easy money off of these.

I can confirm this drops off the Cultist Shard guys. only had to kill the first 3 groups to loot my enchant off the 13th mob I killed. One of the easier world drops I have gone out seeking, but alas % is % is %. :)

Arguably better than the 250 armour enchant for tanks in the Dragon Soul raid on Yor'sahj heroic, as the void bolts do massive amounts of spiky damage to the tanks, and for some specs this is significantly more than the melee damage he deals. This may also hold true for Zon'ozz with his frontal cone attack though his melee attacks are equally dangerous with high stacks of his damage buff.

As of Patch 4.3.2 (soon 4.3.3 maybe this week or next week) this enchant might provide to be very useful with a few Heroic Encounters in the Dragon Soul mainly Heroic Zonzz. Heroic zonz does major aoe shadow damage, so if people are having troubles with that fight and want to help protect themselves better. This and amongst others can provide more protection against that damage.

UPDATE: I can confirm that since 5.0.4 all of the below mentioned enchants have disappeared from my enchanting tab. This can be due the the reason that all spell-res gear and stuff has been removed from the game.

Spell Resistance

Spell resistance is gone. There are no buffs that improve it and there shouldn’t be much, if any, spell resist gear left. We always thought the system was hard to understand and we weren’t getting much gameplay out of it. Now taking a step back, we can imagine how to develop a game where you’d want various forms of resist gear for certain situations and opponents. Resist gear could potentially be interesting, but it isn’t currently in World of Warcraft -- the game has just been moving away from that sort of thing for years.
In the absence of spell resistance, there is no need for spell penetration on gear, so we’ll remove it as well.

Here is the summary of my experience farming this recipe:

should be around 1 out of 100 (for me the formula has dropped after 206 kills :( for 5 other guild mates it was between 60-105)

While you are waiting for the respawn I suggest you to fly around in Icecrown and farm the following mobs for the other 4 type of resistance enchanting formulas (if you still need those):

-> 霜育之子 + 神教研究員
-> 被詛咒的藥劑師
-> 骷髏符文鐵匠
-> 神教鍊金師

This enchant and all 4 other Formula: Enchant Cloak Superior ******** Resistance have been removed from the game in 5.0.4. These are the ones that dropped from the Icecrown mobs. A GM confirmed this for me when I ticketed regarding auctions of these that I had up on patch night that were returned to me as a blank mail. I also checked my enchanting plans ingame and the 5 of them are no longer in the list.
