Is this pattern going to be BoE since the item it leads to is BoP? I would make the assumption that it does since the tailoring pattern for Sunfire Handwraps is the opposite; BoE item, which requires the Sunmotes, thus, BoP pattern. Same thing goes for the Eternal Light set. Looks like a similar system compared to that of SSC, TK, and BT.

This pattern drops from trash mobs within the new 25-men dungeon Sunwell Plateau.

A comparable cloth chest piece, for non-tailors, would be this one: Robes of Ghostly Hatred. This one is sold by Yrma in exchange for 1xSunmote and 1xRobes of Faltered Light. Later item drops of M'uru / Entropius.

With +40 crit, +40 haste, +1 dmg, +6 stam, +4 int, and +1 socket over the tailored Frozen Shadoweave Robe, this crafted cloth chest piece is superior. Additionally the damage bonus applies to all schools of magic, not just Shadow and Frost.

Look at this beautiful chest:

It has +71 Spell Damage and you can easily socket it with 3x http://www.wowhead.com/?item=32196 so you have exactly +36 spell damage + 5 damage (socket bonus) so that's together +112 Spell Damage, beautiful +40 Spell Haste Rating (2.54%). Every Mage / Shadow Priest / Lock should get one!
Even though the Pattern isn't BoP(http://www.wowhead.com/?item=35206) so i presume it won't be hard to get one in the Auction House in a couple of months or in do time (of course if you have lots of gold ;C)...

Destro locks drool for this. Upgrade from tier 6 as long as you don't break the 4pc bonus. No hit rating, but at this point in progression, being hit-capped via other gear is a breeze.

Dropped off of a Cabalist last night while farming trash. Great robe, caused quite a lot of banter in the guild, followed by a few frantic choice words from the GM and raid leaders about re-sheeping while every mage tried the robes on.

Finally got my Sunfire Robe after months of hording DKP. Our guild was actually the first on the server to get them, on our first night in SWP. We now have two of the three that have dropped on the server, including both Horde and Alliance guilds.

It dropped off of a Shadowsword Commander I believe, on one of the very few REAL trash pulls leading up to the Twin Eredar.

I actually saw that pattern on the Magtheridon EU realm Auctions, costed the starting bid of 8k gold. For non raiders this is nearly impossible to obtain i must add.

Well I got my Sunfire Robe chest today from the auction house for only 3k g.
It is not that much if you consider everyone now in WotlK has tons of gold and this chest is absolutely awesome, because you can raid with it even in WotlK, maybe further... (+19spellpower * 3 + 10stats all - enchant - you know what i mean).

Being a dedicated collector of mounts pets and other stuff, I also feel the urge of hunting down rare recipes like these. The most annoying part, of course, is risking losing the roll in case you enter or form a group for a Sunwell clear, so I decided to try and solo some of the Sunwell trash for these recipes on my tailor (Mage). It turns out, it is very easy:

First, clear the Protector patrolling the entrance area (it hits for quite a lot on clothies, use Mirror Image if you have to). I foccused on killing the pack of BElfs protecting the way to the other room, so here's what I did: Polymorph the Sunblade Slayer (he is by far the most dangerous mob in the group, using a physical skill that will slowly kill you, dealing damage based on your total health over 8 seconds), once he's sheeped, use Ring of Frost on the other 4-5 ads on the left, there should be some casters and 1 melee. Immediately burn down the melee (Sunblade Vindicator) while the other casters (healer included) are frozen. If you accomplish this, the hard part is done, focus on killing the healer first then proceeding to the dragonhawk pet and then the other casters, I recomend frost spec due to Ice Barrier making the fight a lot easier. Don't forget to keep the Slayer sheeped!

Once you killed all the ads except the Slayer, go invisible and the group will fully respawn due to the Slayer being left alive. Repeat for infinite success and good luck on the patterns :)

Just grabbed for 225g of AH. Wicked rare, most tailors that win roll use and don't sell it, SO finding this at all and for such a price is a double deal! Now to sell or let my tailor use? That's the question!
