I'm gonna go out on a limb and say these are better than Frozen Shadoweave Boots . Despite the possible loss of 19 spell damage when only socketing +9 spell damage gems the stats are amazing.

Now for those Mages that rolled the Spellfire Tailoring set these are a great item to save those badges for.

Now for those people that were either to stubborn to go tailoring for BC gear these boots are a definite upgrade.

Yes I will be picking these boots up.

For a mage, these boots are a very small dps decrease (2 dps for me on theorycraftomatic) from Boots of Blasting but give you a 12 stam and 23 spirit bonus. If you're having trouble with survivability, mana regen, or simply don't have access to BoB, you should definitely pick these up.

on my destro lock i will seriously consider picking these up. if i socket these with a Veiled Noble Topaz i will lose 8 spell damage compared to the FSWB, however, i will gain +13hit, .22% crit, 275 mana, 427hp, and that 23spi. i may even consider socketing with a Potent Noble Topaz to up my crit bc the 4 lost hit rating would still leave me at 197. i dunno. i'm still using the Scryer's Bloodgem as one of my trinkets so maybe adding the hit will allow me replace that soon with something better.

In patch 2.4 BT gems will be available for purchase for 15 badges of justice.
And with a +12 spell dmg gem the Boots of Incantations are almost as the Blue Suede Shoes....
Thats what im calling a good quality badge reward :)

I'm probably going to pick these up for my Shadow Priest. Granted I already have the FSW Boots, these might be useful to have when min/maxing my stats.

Also, they'll just be useful to have for Stamina fights like Hex Lord or Naj'entus.

For a mage, assuming a +12 damage gem, and compared to Boots of Blasting, these offer:

+12 stamina
+1 intellect
+23 spirit

-25 crit
-1 hit
+20 damage

Even for 10/48/3 Fire mages, the dps shift is hardly noticeable, while providing a slight boost to stamina and a very decent increase to spirit, which as of 2.4 is very relevant to raiding mages. As a mage I'd definitely consider these as a replacement, especially considering the lengthy and arduous fights in BT.

Those boots offer slightly more dps that Blue suede boots if socketed with +4Hit rating +5Spell damage gem thus making it a must take item for a mage that dont have at least boots of blasting. Oh and just for the info this boots offer the 2nd best dps output in the game. If u think that this boots arent worth the effort.. then think again.

dps = 46.61
dps = 46.78
dps = 46.94

This dps is measured for a fire mage and if the boots are socketed with 4+hit and 5+ spell damage gems.

I got these on my lock, and for me were great for not only replacing my old blue item, but for helping me reach the hitcap. Wrath gives destro-locks 6% chance to hit with talents. However, in BC, only affliction has any hit bonus from talents, which means destruction warlocks have to get to 14% hit (202 I think) to be able to reach the cap. Considering all these cost are badges, these boots are a great way to reach the hit cap, as well as getting decent stats/spell damage out of the deal. In my opinion, it would be better to save badges for something else if you are a tailor, but my lock is dual-gatherer :D

Note, these also last quite long into Lich King, and if you replace the +hit gems would green/blue quality +damage gems, they could probably make it to 80.

Socket these with a Reckless Pyrestone (5 haste, 6 spell damage) and you're losing very little as compared to Blue Suede shoes, especially if you're just a few points over the hit cap

Ironically when I got the Blue Suede Shoes I also got 75 badges after completing hyjal, Prior to that I wanted to get these boots, but got lucky and didn't need to buy them. I agree that these are a bit better, especially if you put an epic gem that gets the set bonus, however I was not about to spend 75 badges for a slight improvement :P. Basicly, if you got no hopes of clearing up to Az, grab these boots. If your guild runs MH daily, save your badges on something else
