Background:

Alleria Windrunner is the eldest of the Windrunner sisters, all of whom have served Quel'Thalas and the Alliance with distinction. She served as a Ranger for the Alliance during the Second War, as the Horde burned the borderlands of Quel'thalas. Alleria fought against the forces of Ner'zhul and his Shadow Horde. She fought Deathwing and later aided in defending Khadgar when he finally closed the last Dark Portal to Azeroth, after which Draenor itself was sundered in a fiery cataclysm, sacrificing her way home. Alleria, along with her surviving allies, leapt into the Twisting Nether and has not been seen since.

This mail helm is best in slot for DPS warriors, beating out Crown of Anasterian. However, the difference between the helms is marginal, and it's not worth angering your mail-wearers to obtain. You're better off leveling with a plate helm anyways.

Chris Metzen has hinted that after arriving in Outland, Alleria (along with Turalyon) traveled through yet another portal to another world. The fact that Kil'jaeden is in possession of Alleria's belongings may suggest they ended up on Argus, the seat of Kil'jaeden and the Burning Crusade.

This is the one helm I'd really like to run across. This has everything I expect for my enhanced shaman. Plus, it'll save me a crap load of gold or honor points getting an alternative. Not only that, the armor penetration from the whole set is a definite help with people wearing thick plate armor. Sort of brings them on an equal level. lol

Seeing as Kil'jaedan drops it, I'm highly confident that she was either killed by Kil'jaedan or founded by him.
