Maybe it's just that grave moss doesn't spawn all of the time but I didn't see it in the SM graveyard. In desolace, the kodo graveyard didn't have it and the valley of bones doesn't exist any longer. I used to find it in the cave in the hinterlands but not this time. It wasn't in the ruins of alterac. It wasn't in the cave in arathi.

Where I did find it was in Stromgarde (arathi) and Ironbeard's tomb (wetlands). And of course, Raven Hill (duskwood).

In Alterac Mountains, at Ruins of Alterac (44, 30) there's a graveyard next to a church. Grave Moss is the only herb that spawns here. I camped this spot for a bit while doing other things around the house and found that the respawn rate for this Grave Moss node was about 6-8 minutes.

While farming this today, I went to Raven Hill, the cave in Hinterlands (with the spiders), Stromgarde (21,58), and the Alterac Ruins (44,30) location mentioned a few times previously. From what I can tell, the respawn rate at Alterac Ruins is around 5-8 minutes, consistently. All other locations respawned, but it didn't seem to have any dependable pattern. I got several of these from the ruins, but only one spawn from the other locations while I was out there. Hope this helps.

What is 墓地苔 used for and where can you find it?

First off, why should you care about 墓地苔?
I don't know. You're here aren't you?

Gathered from:
-墓地苔 which is found in Duskwood (36), Razorfen Downs (9), Arathi Highlands (7), Wetlands (7), and Hillsbrad Foothills (3)
-Only found in graveyard-like places

Where in these zones?:
-Duskwood: At Raven Hill in the northwest and Tranquil Gardens Cemetery in the southeast
-Razorfen Downs: A couple different places in the dungeon
-Arathi Highlands: Northeast part of Stromgarde Keep
-Wetlands: Just south of Dun Modr at Ironbeard's Tomb
-Hillsbrad Foothills: Only 3 nodes right in the middle of Ruins of Alterac

Which zone is the best?:
-I have not tried all of them, but Raven Hill is working out pretty well for me. Usually no more than 2-4 nodes up at one time. The only problem is that the respawn time is pretty long so you usually will have to wait for ~5 minutes (I timed it. It is usually 5 minutes, but it can be as low as 3 or as high as 8) for new nodes to spawn. If you really wanted to, you can fly over to Tranquil Gardens Cemetery, but there is never more than 1 node up at a time there, and the nodes have about the same respawn time as Raven Hill. Not to mention you would be flying across Duskwood for only 1 node. I have been able to get around 60 墓地苔 in one day only gathering at Raven Hill. I have found that the best way to farm it is to farm all of the nodes at Raven Hill, go do something else for a bit, and then come back and some nodes should be back up.

So, what is it used for?

Milling:
-金黃顏料 (99%)
-焦褐顏料 (25%)

Reagent for:
-暗影之油 (Alchemy 165; requires 2 墓地苔 and 1 水晶瓶)
-暗影之油 is a reagent for 暗色皮甲 (Leatherworking 175), 守護者護甲 (Leatherworking 175), 暗影月牙斧 (Blacksmithing 200), 暗影兜帽 (Tailoring 170), 邪惡月亮石戒指 (Jewelcrafting 125), and 強效暗影防護藥水 (Alchemy 290)
-暗影防護藥水 (Alchemy 135; requires 1 墓地苔, 1皇血草, and 1水晶瓶)
-暗影防護藥水 is a reagent for 黑暗之手 (Tailoring 145)

What else?
-It looks cool, being a creepy themed herb (is it an herb?) with skulls and whatnot
-You will have almost no competition if you try to sell it on the Auction House (I have no clue who would buy it though)
-EDIT: Surprisingly when I tried to sell it on the Auction House it sold very well. As I said above, there was very little competition and I sold around 100x 墓地苔 in just a couple of days. It just sucks to farm it though :(

I recently had to do a mats run in the northern zones of Eastern Kingdoms and thought I would try some of the Grave Moss spawn points.

My First stop was Ruins of Alterac. I checked the graveyard in the center of town. There is about 12 gravestones there and ogre's around. After farming this a few times over here are my observations:
- This item seems to re spawn about every 5-10 minutes. The times seems to vary. It might increase if someone keeps farming it consecutively.
- It pops at only one grave (one node), for about 2-3 pieces of Grave Moss.

At this point I had gathered the number of herb I needed, but still visited other Grave Moss locations to see if they were still intact.

My Next Stop was Ironbeard's Tomb, Wetlands. Sure enough, there was a node right out front. I didn't stick around for re spawn times, but I verified there is still an herb node out here. Also, make sure you check down in the crypt. I found Grave Moss down in there.

My Third stop was the NE part of Stromgarde in Arathi Highlands (creepy graveyard near church). I found one node outside.

As far as I was able to tell from short visits, the wetlands location may be the best location due to more than one node.

RFD and the two graveyards in Duskwood are the best places I tried.

Scarlet Monastery - none. Doesn't spawn there any more.

I did RFD on my druid herbalist and wished I had a rogue herbalist because of the locked chests, but other than that, doesn't take too long and at least 3 nodes per run, sometimes 5. (goldthorn can pop instead of grave moss.)
