This is not a drop from a Zul'Aman boss but timed loot. When you start you get a 20 minute timer to kill the first boss, when you down him you get a 2nd timer again with 20 mins, so on and so forth.

If you kill the boss before the timer you 'save' an NPC who rewards you with loot, Rage being one of the choices.

Well Talon and claw have higher ilevel, higher dps and better stats - but something tells me Nalorakk is easier than Al'ar :)

What are the timed quest requirements for this? Do you have to kill all bosses to get timed loot or certain loot for particular bosses killed within the alloted time?

Seems that they're adding a lot more slow offhands into the game with the change of decapitator and fools bane, with the release of Season 3 arena gear there is also a slow OH, and in the new raid instances (as seen here). Season 3 weapons are definitely an upgrade to this fist weapon pair. However, they require 1850 personal rating to purchase, so for some of us we wouldn't be getting those any time soon.

Here are 2x Season 2 (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=31965) (2 slow axes for enhancement shamans and fury warriors post 2.3) compared to Fury and Rage. I'm choosing axes because of my orc's racial, 1% crit with axes, after 2.3) but they all have identical stats (swords/maces/axes/fists).

By equipping this, combined with Rage, instead of 2x axes:

-- 3.8 DPS
++ 20 Agility
-- 16 Stamina
-- 25 Crit Rating
-- 24 Resilience (N/A for PvE DPS?)
-- 26 Attack Power
++ 2 Gem Sockets (1 Red, 1 Yellow)

All calculations assume you gem for and gain the socket bonuses.

The DPS values were calculated without taking offhand penalty into account, but you can work that out since it depends on your class and it doesn't change the comparison.

Doesn't seem like much of an upgrade... keep in mind if choosing to farm 2 arena axes is that unless you buy season 3, you will need to fork out enough points for two one hand (main-hand cost) weapons, rather than 1 main hand and one offhand, since there is no slow-speed offhand-specific weapon (and therefore cheaper) available pre-S3.

this and off hand, good or bad for 2.3hemo spec rogue? seeing how going hemo you wont have combat potency.

im sure if you want to get poison's up you could shiv them up.

i dont know i just see that yellow socket and think 8hit gem, and with both that's 28hit rating.

If this drops from ZA's first boss, it's definitely up there on my list.

Until I can get 5 Nether Vortexes, these are a slight upgrade for my main hand (which is the Dragonmaw atm).

It seems to me that this is a weapon aimed at Shammys and warriors, yet agility is stuck on it instead of strength...
If this was itemised better it may be good but in its current state it is pretty rubbish

This is actually a great main hand for dual-wielding survival hunters, as rare as they are. Pop an agility gem in there and enchant it, and you're looking at 50 agility plus your off-hand. If it's a good one, you might get another 50.
Since raiding hunters need a lot of mana, dual-wielding allows you to put two mana oils on your weapons. Not bad, I must say.
Plus it looks pretty cool.

Rage and Fury...
Seems to me like it screams Warrior.

Great weapon(s) for Non-TG Fury Warriors. Although I dunno many people who are willing to run ZA for them.

Along with many other fist weapons in the game, such as Fist of Deity, this will become one-hand in MoP, and will finally be usable in either hand (and transmog to either hand).

this is very exciting for those of you who were lucky enough to obtain this item and were off-put by the coloration difference with its sister-weapon Fury!
