Despite their snazzy graphic, I am rather underwhelmed by the stats on these shoulders. With two blue sockets, the T5 shoulders not only give you more flexibility to compensate for the difference in stats, but also help you achieve the T5 set bonuses.

If I had to choose between these shoulders and keeping the 2-piece Tier 5 set bonus, I'd stick with T5.

Compared to T5, if you're using these (and assuming use of X2 Royal Nightseye)

+12 STA
+1 INT
+17 SPI (+4 healing)
-4 mp5 (assuming Nightseye)
-39 healing.

A nice spirit upgrade but T5 is probably the better choice.
Heck, you could even put two +8 spirit gems into T5 and still come out on top.

The drop rate for some of these pieces is just hard to bear at times. Regretting very much that I didn't save some of these pieces when they dropped for me during TBC.

On a side note, running raids for transmog is turning a hefty profit for myself and my two buddies. Highly suggest running Black Temple every week, for money if nothing else. A Blood DK and Disc priest is a great combination.

These don't exist. I swear they don't.

Four weeks straight and no shoulders for my mage. I've literally seen glaives drop more often than these dating back to BC. Simply ridiculous.
