Though it is highly upgraded from the normal "Gladiator's Endgame" of season 1 arena, I do not recommend spending the points for this item.

Spellblade/Endgame Compared to merciless staff
You will have:

+54 stamina -1 Stamina
+37 intellect -5 Intellect
+45 resilience +16 (one of the benefits)
+258 spell dmg +33 (quite a bit of extra dmg)
+15 spell hit -9 spell hit
+0 spell critical (eww) -42 spell critical (wow.)

overall, you're paying 4275 (for the endgame and the blade) and only 3750 for the staff. With the staff you gain 42 spell critical strike rating, 9 spell hit 5 int and 1 stamina. You lose a bit of damage and resilience, but overall i think it is much better to go with the staff. (Unless you raid, and can find a better offhand, preferably with critical strike.)
