Although the Reef Axe is better then Arced War Axe, this thing is still amazing. It's harder for alliance to get Arced War Axe, so BFD is a better choice and just go for the Reef Axe while in there. The Arced War Axe is better for ret pallies and arms warriors cuz they need the strength bonus. The 0.7 dps difference between these two isn't much of a factor at all. The attack power on the Reef Axe makes it better for hunters.

For a ret pally this weapon can be good and bad.
Good because if you manage to crit with both your weapon and holy seal of command you will be looking at around 400 burst damage and can finish a fight in no more than 2 swings {around 7 seconds}.
bad because if you have adds and manage to miss/parry and then only do minimal damage on your next swing you will have waited 10 seconds for about 80 damage while getting beat very hard.
overall its a nice wep but lacks in speed.

Awesome weapon, drops alot, great for pallies and warriors alike. Get an SFK run asap and pick this bad boy up, in addition to the Fenrus cape and the Arugal quest reward ring (if Horde).

Best part of this axe, it'll get your weapon skill up to speed for the one and only Corpsemaker.

Arced War Axe is a decent axe for a low level warrior, shaman or paladin. It drops from Boss Commander Springvale in Shadowfang Keep (within Silverpine Forest) at an estimated drop rate of 46%..
