Tested on PTR 2.1 aswell. I did 10 "sets" of 100 flash heals in a row (full buffed with intelect, spirit, BoK, BoW, MOTW) and proc rate is around 7-8% from what I saw. Sometimes the proc rate was 5% ... (true, 2 times I had 10% and 12%)
What I can say ... nice trinket, but the 15% proc rate is not the true one.

When I tested this on the PTRs it procced off of literally any spell. Summon warhorse, find herbs, enchanting, sense undead etc.

The "Blessing of Righteousness" proc from this trinket lasts 15 seconds and seems to stack with all +damage trinket effects.

On the PTR, the proc rate seems to be between 5%-10% according to the numbers captured by ProcTracker and my calculations (number of procs / by total number of casts * 100 = proc chance... rounded to the nearest hundredth of course)

I ran several raids and did several battleground matches and the proc rate I got from it (I only had it monitor my heal casts and holy shock) were as follows:
Day 1: 4 hours 12 minutes of gameplay, 312 casts/21 procs = 6.73% chance to proc
Day 2: 2 hours 20 minutes of gameplay, 114 casts/11 procs = 9.65% chance to proc
Day 3: 5 hours 1 minute of gameplay, 310 casts/22 procs = 7.10% chance to proc
Day 4: 4 hours 52 minutes of gameplay, 555 casts/36 procs = 6.49% chance to proc

Kinda disappointing, however it may be bugged on the Public Test Realm.

Note: This trinket DOES proc on blessings and judgements, however I have not had it proc when casting a seal yet. Also I confirm that this procs off both summon warhorse and find herbs.

I just got this item tonight on our server first Al'ar kill (<The Core> Tichondrius). None of our paladins were crazy about getting it so we decided to all /random 100 for it. I must say that it feels like it procs all the time; even more often than spellsurge which after extensive testing is procing roughly 17 times in an average boss fight. In the future this is going to be much more sought after by the rest of the paladins in my guild, that's for sure.

I thought i saw it refresh it's duration once but i may be crazy on that, so i'm trying to keep a close eye to see if there is a hidden cooldown or not.

Just doing the math on this, if you assume it will always be up after the hidden cooldown, that means it will be up roughly 15 seconds of every 45 seconds, or 1/3 of the time. Since the bonus it provides is 290...

290 / 3 = 97 +healing average over a long boss fight.

Considering this has no other bonuses attached to it and no use function, this trinket is not very good compared to:

I am personally using Ribbon and Pendant while raiding and finding them both pretty useful. I would replace Pendant with Eye if it ever drops, but I wouldnt replace any of them with this trinket.

They all give a constant amount of healing nearly equal to the average amount of healing granted by this trinket and/or have a nice and useful effect on them. I would pick this up, just in case it gets buffed at some point but it will likely sit in my bank.

Dropped on my first visit to Al’ar and I won it with minimium DKP. I think it’s a sick trinket for Shockadins. It procs off virtually everything you cast (i.e. seals, HoJ, consecration, judgements etc). What I really loved about this thing is that it does NOT share cooldown with other similar spell dps trinkets like Xiri’s Gift so you can wait for it to proc off and then activate the other trinket for a whooping +440 (150 +290) spell damage increase!

Yeah I was about to say this is PERFECT for a Protection Paladin, and pretty decent for a Holy Paladin. Retribution doesn't scale as well as it needs to with +damage/healing compared to straight melee stats. It never has, and those who believe so are simply delusional. Melee stats first, always.

However, Protection Paladins as is cover themselves with Affliction Warlock-esque gear. Spell hit and spell damage like mad. This trinket would basically be the equivalent to the Sextant of Unstable Currents. While the Sextant requires a spell crit and offers only 190 damage/healing on proc, this Tome offers 290 and doesn't require a spell crit, yet still has a solid 15% chance proc chance (the Sextant is 20% of your crit chance).

A Holy Paladin MIGHT like the Sextant of Unstable Currents better, since it also boosts their +spell crit rating by 40 and they'll be critting like crazy anyway, but seeing as many offensive casters will die for that trinket this Tome might be the next best option, and really is not that bad either.

A Protection Paladin would orgasm over this, on the other hand.

I have this trinket and as a raiding paladin this trinket is extremely good. It procs all the time and during those times when you are low on mana and forced to cash Flash of Light while waiting on a mana pot cooldown it is very helpful in making the smaller heals you are forced to cast heal for more. Everyone has their own opinion about this item but I will definitely not be replacing this anytime soon. I am currently using it alongside the Eye of Gruul which only has a 2% proc rate but in those really long fights aka Kael every bit of mana conservation/regen you can get is helpful.

A few things

Right now I use this and the trinket that drops off of shade of Aran (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28727), and I have the Fel Reaver's Piston (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=30619) off of Void Reaver, but it normally just sits in my bag. From my experience, a fully raid buffed paladin (with a flask of mighty restoration) and assuming you have a shadow priest in your group, the bonus healing is more worth it than the 16 MP5 the FRP gives you. I almost never go under 50% mana in Hyjal and Black Temple fully raid buffed, and even then, pop a mana pot and your all set. Without a shadow priest, I do think the Fel Reavers Piston is better for boss fights (especially as they tend to get longer and more healing intensive the farther you get in the game).

Hmmm, I'm really confused as to why anyone would want this trinket. So you basically get 1 proc per min of 290 spell damage, and that's it. It doesn't even have an equipped stat bonus. This is just as much a waste of time as the Libram that drops @ Lurker Below

I have been using a combination of Xiri's Gift and Essence of the Martyr for quite a while now and i'm not prepared to waste my dkp on this. I will spend 1 dkp on it then shard hehe

Both my trinks have 2 min cooldown which means I get 1 proc per min with both (15sec and 20sec duration respectively) and this I can set off when I want plus I get the constant +32 crit and +84 heal.

Caelith425 : I've never had or wanted the Eye of Gruul trinket, does that 2% proc that much?. Why not get a trinket i.e. Essence of Martyr which has better + heal or even the +crit one, both have better proc bonus and then wait for cooldowns of your DI and DF which probably occur at the same time or before the Eye of Gruul procs..

Crit is afterall the best way a paladin regens mana. This is just my opinion ofc :D

Looks very good for prot paladins.
A high proc chance with a 45 second cooldown means you get burst aggro at the start of every pull, exactly when you need it.

The ret and holy pallies are all completely correct here - this sucks for them. This is an example of the Tier 5 penchant for gearing up tankadins for use in Morogrim/Solarian and, above all, Mount Hyjall, where a Pally tank is so good it's a must. Peek at the following SSC/TK drops, of which I've likely missed several.

That said, I don't think this is by any means the best Tankadin trinket. You absolutely MUST be uncrushable before using this to gain the fairly noticeable threat gain that this will pose...With the proper itemization, though, this will really make those consecrates sing.

Tanking trinket.

There's no other trinket that gives you this much spell damage in the game that is "ok" for a paladin to have. If you reached all your caps with an extra trinket spot to spare, go with this.

Exactly. It's an AoE tanking trinket to boost the threat of your consecrates by 290*1.9/8 (551/8) = 69 TPS while it's up. Not too shabby at all.

For ret, you need AP/crit. For holy you need healing (or for shockadin spell dmg). Prot trinket!

This item is godly on MH trash for pally tanks. It may not have any tanking stats but it's like a free AW every time it procs. Especially if you're starting to get too geared for your current raid content, this can be a great way to get burst threat without re-gearing your stuff.
