I have been solo'ing The Eye AND SSC every week for two months now, mainly for this pattern. ~~It hasn't dropped yet (and I am a LW, as if that makes any difference since it is BOE anyway)~~. I have even run a few other raids of the era/level (Gruul's, BT, Kara), but no luck either!

Has anyone seen this drop as of patch 5.2?

Just got three copies of this pattern in a single (solo) SSC run - one off the first boss, the second a mere 2-3 trash pulls later and a third off the trash right before Karathress. Naturally, I was not on my leatherworker (who is still missing this pattern) at the time *facepalm* and all three had to be vendored. Sometimes I wish I could stab the RNG in the eye.

Just want to comment that I finally had it drop. Year's of wierd solo fun, farming Alar mount later on didn't give me this recipe.

Now I just need 2 more sunwell recipes...*yaks*

Belt of the Black Eagle is required to finish the Hunter Rift Stalker Armor set and get the Merely a Set achievement on Hunters. (You can still get the achievement on other classes, and only hunters for this tier are required to get a crafted item to finish their set.)

The Pattern can be hard to get, I personally cleared all the trash in serpent shrine about 15 times and then moved onto the eye where I got it after about 20 more clears killing all the trash and not the bosses. I certainly had bad luck as the other BOP patterns for leatherworking, blacksmithing, and tailoring dropped before it for me. I was starting to think that it couldn't drop for demon hunters, but finally it did from the trash near void reaver.

You must not be able to reset this raid. I tried and my trash is still gone. Or is there something i'm doing wrong?

Mid BfA pattern still drops - was in Serpentshrine for other reasons and got all the other pieces of Rift gear in four runs (3 trash, 1 boss.) Got the pattern in Tempest Keep: Eye on my 3rd trash run from trash in front of Kael (no boss runs except once the pattern dropped I smacked Kael trying to get the Ashes of Al'ar).

Farmed this basically since the Original release of Tier 5. Not weekly, but Im pretty sure I have way more than 200 IDs of both T 5 Raids with my Leather Worker. So yeah, good luck. Finally got this after more than a decade. :) Dont expect to get it for sure, if you really want it no matter what, you have to do trash farms and reset the ID, but yeah, not really an exciting thing to do. And craft/farm some speed run gear. Iirc I got it from a SSC boss.

My advise: Just do complete runs on a weekly basis until you got all the transmog there is. Do both T5 raids. After this trash runs may be an option, but before I wouldnt do it. In the end I had something like more than 400 trash runs including the bosses and thats the needed Mobs was for me to get it. So yeah, really, really low drop chance. At least for me. If there are about 100 trash mobs, then it means I had a 1/4000 drop chance. :) At least for my own statistics.

This pattern still drops as of 10.0.7. Best method I found to farm for this was just clearing the trash on SSC and resetting it when I was done.

As of 10.2 this definitely still drops. Decided to try to farm this today to complete the set and literally got it from the third trash mob in The Eye, I never even made it into the first room! Obviously this is extremely lucky and will not happen for most.

I had this and belt of natrual power dropped at the same time while farming trash on my LW. (about 7 runs in or so)
Farming the trash in the eyes and the bosses in SSC is the best way to farm these and similar bop patterns from these two raids. SSC bosses have the highest drop chance for most, and then the eye has the most trash mobs and a faster clear/reset time.

12.0.5 - dropped today from TK trash after farming SSC trash for 10 times, then killing the bosses and moving the TK. It was my first TK trash run.
