to this. More armor and stamina, you just lose 21 defense rating pts. It's possible to get over 415 defense from rings, trinkets, enchants, and other gear, to become crit immune, so the 21 extra defense on this isn't worth giving up the armor and stam, IMO.

True enough, but here's a couple things.

One, I've never seen Capacitus drop that Cloak. I already HAVE seen the Guilded one drop. Drop rates in this game can be whimsical.

Two, having all three stats on one item gives you more flexibility with the rest of your gear.

I would say that you take one or the other depending on what the rest of your set looks like. If the Thoriumweave fits better, take it. If this fits better, take it.

this is a nice cape for druids but after the next patch they are buffing the thoriumweave cloak's armor up to 390 so as being a druid tank i would take the thoriumweave over this due to the major armor diffrence and increased stam. but if ur lacking def then deffenitly take this it is an over all nice cloak.

If you can't get an Amber Cape of Nature Protection (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=25043), this would also work well with a +15 NR Greater Nature Resistance enchant...making it easier reaching 490 defense and reasonable HP for your NR tank on Hydross.

This cloak has such high mitigation, it's amazing. With a 120 armor enchant on it, that puts it up to 505 armor total.

Armor, Stamina, Defense...this cloak is MADE for heavy physical fights where stacking dodge can cause healers to become lapse and thus end up in wipes.

Just got it two nights ago. To top things off, it's my favorite cloak graphic in the game. It actually looks like a chain link fence. :)

This cloak is superior IMO to Devishark Cape for raiding for one reason only. Whereas pure avoidance is great to have a little of, if you completely ignore stam/armor/block value heading into raiding at the cost of 2% dodge and 1% parry (I'm not getting these numbers from anywhere I'm just throwing them out there) it will cost you. When in a raid situation, generally there is atleast 1 healer on you (keep in mind that the healer on you will probably be the best geared) they will be employing "pro-active healing" meaning that they aren't waiting for you to get hit and then heal, they are going to be throwing heals at you not waiting to see what happens. If you dodge or parry an attack, your healer is not going to cancel the heal, because by that time they'll have to recast and it will mess up what I assume to be their rotation (I know almost all classes have them, so I'm sure that healers do too). I am not downplaying the role of avoidance at all, I have just come to notice that several tanks value parry/dodge just a bit too much. I'm not trying to tell you how to gear your tank, but stacking stamina is my preference, and the preference of several other tanks, notice that Kungen (MT for Nihilum) has all +15 stam gems- or atleast he did at my last check. Take this for what it's worth, but the one fact is that having a high armor/block rate is as close to constant mitigation as you can get, and the extra stam you get will make sure that when a crushing blow does sneak through, you will have the HP to survive it.
