IMO, these are one of the best tanking helms you can get pre-raiding. Same armor as "Warhelm of the Bold (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28350)," with less agility and slightly less str (taking socket bonus into account). But the base stamina is excellent, and the high defense makes up for the agi loss. Goes great with the Keeper of Times enchant if you can afford it (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=29186).

If you don't want to farm Botanica for the Dungeon Set 3, I suggest you stick with these. They aren't too much of an upgrade, and really minimal at best.

Currently serving as my early Kara tanking helm, socketed with a solid azure moonstone and the +18stam 5% stun resist metagem. That combined with glyph of the defender from Keepers of Time make for one hell of a MT helm.

As a tank I was still trying to decide which helm i liked better between the Myrmidon's and Warhelm of the Bold, but then I realized something, engineers can make epic helms at 350, which i happen to be at, so i'll be crafting http://www.wowhead.com/?item=32473 come the patch, well that made my decision easier.

When I was using this helmet I had a Sovereign Shadow Draenite and a Powerful Earthstorm Gem socketed, and eventually the Glyph of the Defender enchant. Not bad for a freebie from a single Steamvaults run.

There's no real compelling reason to take the Warhelm of the Bold or the Greathelm of the Unbreakable over this.

I have a Warlord's Helm
896 AC
+10 STA (enchant)
+37 AGI
+56 STA
and this ranks 657 points higher than the Myrmidon's Headdress (un-gemmed) in TankPoints. Should I bother gemming this? I don't see how it can be better??

This is a great helmet to get, even at WoTLK. Can be gemmed with stamina, str, defence, or whatever you need, and can beat http://www.wowhead.com/?item=37787 in any stats except parry rating and strength. I have tryed both this and http://www.wowhead.com/?item=37787 with 18 sta enchant, 32 stamina as meta, 8 strength and 12 stamina in red socket. With this I'll gain 70 hp, With http://www.wowhead.com/?item=37787, I gain a bid more avoidance.
