After wasteing about 200 linen I can just about confirm that it will _not_ raise you to 100 skill. Its green at 99 and will not go up to 100.

Linen is much cheaper than wool, and a light wool doesn't do much more healing, I'd make these all the way to 99 before making a single light wool

Note that 2 linen cloth is worth more from the vendor than 1 heavy linen bandage. If you don't want to Auction your linen, better to sell the raw mats to the vendor than the bandages.

2 linen cloth = 26 copper
1 heavy linen bandage = 20 copper

Although the first aid skill was removed with the BFA Pre-Patch, the bandages are still available in the game and can now only be made by tailors. For all other professions the different types of cloth are still required for a couple of recipes. So check your recipes to see if you can use the cloth before you sell it through auction house or to a vendor.
