I don't quite understand the point of this hammer in game. Feral druids now are getting crazy and nice staves. Balance druids probably will pick other stuff with much higher dmg/healing. Shaman with 2hander won't like this. I guess Blizzard probably design this for a paladin.

Well, if I go for Ret, then this is way too fast and SoC will suffer. Yeah I know someone will say this is a dmg weapon for holy spec pally. Well for holy, dmg/healing pretty much means everything so I would rather get a high dmg/healing mace or a mage/lock sword and carry a shield which will give me much better dmg and higher armor. Nowadays there are lots of good dmg/healing 1hander in game. Also I can block attack with the shield.

I just don't understand a super fast 2hander witth low dmg/healing on it...

I wouldn't think so, if you're a pally and you have reckoning you have enough points in prot so that it would be more beneficial to wear a shield =D

but this is perfect for shamans, windfury works best with weapons that attack faster than 3.50 attack speed, in my opinion, and a 2h weapon with 2.20 attack speed is like god with windfury >:)

This isn't bad for a two-hander holy build paladin either. It's got stamina, intellect, spell power, and mana/5 after all. Yes, there might be some holy paladins who, like myself, like carrying a two-handed weapon ;)

I guess it goes without saying that this is an awesome weapon for an enhancement (or enh hybrid) shaman also. The combination of strength & stam with intellect, spellpower and 4 mp5 would be an awesome boost. The only downside is that it's a bit faster than some of the other awesome 2H weapons around this level.

Does this still have spell damage on it? In 2.4, pretty much everything with STR and spell damage on it got the spell damage removed because evidently it is all ret pally gear (?!?).

best 2 hander for enhancement shaman...i recommend it ..the wf procs is amazing and wit 2.20 speed..its a great weapon if get it..enjoy u wont regret..peace

now i'm trying to get it, because i really need it :P i have high warlord's pigsticker with great dmg and 3.8 speed, but when i run out of mana, i can't just use seal of wisdom, cuz that's 90mana per 3.8sec, which is too small amount.

It's a melee weapon with caster stats. That's like that random green fist weapon "of the invoker" I found the other day.

Moonkin druids and Elemental shamans wouldn't want it, because they can get much more spellpower from an actual caster weapon like the Crystalfire Staff that drops from the same boss. Strength is wasted on them.

Enhancement shamans would rather dual wield. Ret pallies don't want it because it's far too fast. Warriors wouldn't want it because it's too fast AND wastes points on int, spellpower and mp5. Pallies and warriors would be much better off with the Hellreaver from the last boss in Ramparts, or the Blade of Misfortune world drop.

So... a weapon designed exclusively for holy pallies when soloing? Or for ret pallies to swap out when they want to regen with seal of wisdom? What a piece of junk. I was hoping for a change in WotLK.

If u forget about caster stats, this is a great weapon for a titans grip fury warrior. u have much nicer stats than one handed weapons (19 str+23 sta) and an amazing dmg for that attack speed.

Uh, no. Heart Fire Warhammer is a Ret Paladin weapon. And even then, it's not a very good one because of the speed.

19 Strength and 23 Stamina is not uncommon on 2H weapons at that level. The rest of the stats are wasted on a Warrior. And again, it's incredibly fast for a 2H, which is bad for TG.

Instead snag yourself a couple of cheap Blades of Misfortune on the AH. Better stats, much better speed, unbelievable crit rating, and you won't have to set one foot in Ramparts.

Edit: Or hell, get a couple of Bloodied Arcanite Reapers if you have a level 80 who doesn't know what to do with his Emblems of Heroism.

I don't see the reason the speed is bad. Faster the weapon-- more damage put out. That means things die quicker. Sure this potato-masher doesn't have the visual kick of Hellreaver but all the same the stats are good. Obviously only really interesting to a Paladin.

Fast speed and Int/Str for Ret; Stam for Prot; Spell power for Holy.

With Dual-Spec, this is a good multipurpose weapon. Even though I now use Hellreaver for my Ret-Spec and this for Holy, it was a good option until I could pick up Hellreaver.

In fact, I don't know why a slower speed would ever be desirable.

Except Retribution bases a lot of its damage (at least while leveling) on Seal of Command, which has a fixed PPM. Ergo, the slower your weapon, the more damage your SoC procs will do. That's why this weapon is bad for Ret.

This weapon is garbage, period. As has been stated, there aren't ANY classes that can get any real use out of it. The only reason I could see anyone using this is if you RAF'd a ret pally and have absolutely NO gear on it what so ever.

This is a horrible weapon, don't fool yourself, with 121-182 dmg it boasts an average 151 dmg per swing, which is ridiculous. Weapons for people in the 40s do better damage. And a lot of budget is wasted on stamina. DK tanks don't want because 151 dmg is horrible for threat, druids don't benefit much from strength, the crit is bad for tanks... shard or vendor this.
EDIT: Well, the crit is good for bear tanks, but it's still horrible.

One great thing about this hammer is that when used in Transmogrification, it keeps its glow. This means that the really really annoying enchant effects of Landslide or Avalanche don't show on it, and you keep a tidy orange glow instead.
