as a tankadin, this is pretty much a MUST have. when combined with Retribution aura, Consecration, Blessing of Sanctuary (+Holy Shield), a good shield (like the sporeggar one or an alternative), this enchanted on it and perhaps a form of thorns or the crystal spire buff http://www.wowhead.com/?item=11567 from Un'Goro Crater in Kalimdor, and ur looking at an awful lot of block damage reflection.

However as posted above, this is more a grinding enchant, not what should be used for boss fights, where +block or +stamina would be preferable.

i disagree, cuz paladin doesn't benefit from physical dmg returned. any return is good, but i would much rather have +18sta, than this, speccialy cuz pala tanking gear realy lacks stamina, when compared to warrior gear of same level/quality/use.

This is basically like putting Mongoose on a weapon for a warrior/rogue...only for a Prot paladin. The alpha and omega of twink shield enchants, if you're leveling a pally 40-60 this is well worth the cash. Mats aren;t even that hard to farm if you know a BS who can make it.

While fruitlessly grinding Shattered Halls to get a Figurine of the Colossus to drop, my Thrallmar rep started to pile up in a real hurry. When the trinket dropped after about the sixteenth run, I said what the hell, and did another three or four runs to get to exalted just to get the plans for this spike.

The materials are expensive, but lo and behold, I can flip the finished product on the AH for over 350 a pop, making this an extremely profitable blacksmithing reward (the only profitable rep grind reward in BC, in my opinion) from a long rep grind. What's more, there are so few blacksmiths who have this recipe, you can pretty much name your own price once the word gets out that you even have the recipe at all.

This is an extremely popular item for the "money is no object" twinking crowd, and highly sought after by protection paladins looking to maximize the potential of the Petrified Lichen Guard in their grinding sets.

4 Felsteel Bar:
3 Fel Iron Bars made by 2 Fel Iron Ore each.
You'll need 4 Felsteel Bars, so Need a total of 12 Fel Iron Bars or 24 Fel Iron Ore.

2 Eternium Bars made by 2 Eternium Ore each.
So once again, 4 Bars, total of 8 Eternium Bars or 16 Eternium Ore.

Primal Fire:
10 Motes of Fire each. ---> 40 Motes of Fire total.

Primal Earth
10 Motes of Earth each ----> 40 Motes of Earth total.

Hope someone gets some use out of this so they don't waste buying materials in the AH :)

Don't forget, you don't deal this 26-38 damage to your enemies unless you block their attack.

Currently the best shield spikes available to a player under level 70 as Titanium Shield Spike takes level 70 and causes the item to become bound.

I'll have to say that this spike isn't worth money for what it gives. Through leveling 45-50 protection specced Warrior, using Shield Block on cooldown and taking big groups of enemies, this thing totalled around 1,5% of my damage done, a gain of ~10-12 dps on top of 700-800. Considering how much thing thing cost, I would advice against putting it on any shield, it's a simply waste of money.

If anything, on shield of ilvl35+ you are better to put +18 stamina enchant.

This used to be an absolute beast back in the day before enchantments scaled with your level. So I thought I would test it out while leveling a protection warrior trough various dungeons. Between level 30-70 it did consistently 0.3-0.4% of my total damage, before that even lower. Really looks like 附魔盾牌 - 活力 would be the better option at the moment.
