This item drops from Trash Piles found near mailboxes, there’s one Trash Pile in each of the five zones, for a total of five.

I got mine on my 8th run of the day, from the third Trash Pile I checked in the Trade District. Once you defeat the Nesting Swarmite that spawns, the item has a 100% drop chance.

This is random spawn, not 100% one out of 5 piles, so I've found out that running the Cathedral Square and Dwarven District piles was the fastest way.

Trash was not located near mailboxes for me.

Took me about 25 trash piles before it spawned. If you are farming in Stormwind and don't care about other objectives, I would suggest skipping the Old Town area. It has the most annoying mobs and you have to clear a lot of them to reach the trash pile.

Farmed it with 3 friends, one on each spot (except Old Town)
Hunt went to Cathedral // me (mage) went to Dwarven // 2 invisible rogues went to Trade & Mage
Everyone use their mobility/invisibility etc, click, and if the mob is here, gg, everyone gets it (dunno if everyone should hit or not, but in our run, the one who got the mob waited us and we all hit him)
We almost finished in the same time so it was kinda optimal, and if the mob isnt here, just leave the instance and retry

Bonus: you can also check the mailbox in cathedral or Dwarven if someone doesnt have Mail Muncher
Cathedral is really fast so while waiting, you can check the mailbox & in Dwarven, the mailbox is really close to the trash pile

More information: the mount doesnt despawn if you go out of combat, so dont worry, you can die, you can invis, as long as someone can rez you, its fine ;D

I've been farming this mount for hours with 1 mask.. no luck.
Then I got it on my FIRST trash pile when I had 0 mask. I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but I guess you never know ?

This can drop on zero masks. I start running it on zero masks after I ran out of stuff to do (I'm not trying 5 masks until week 3). Farming without mask make it so much easier.

Speed Run method to Acquire: Total trash piles clicked was probably in 20 somethings.

Step 1: run to first location at Cathedral /way #2404 55.8 49.2 Nesting Swarmite
Step 2: Click Trash pile and *cross fingers for rare* Kill spawns
Step 3: Exit scenario and rinse repeat first location until Swarmite rare spawns
Step 4: Kill Nesting Swarmite and loot mob!

NOTE:
Also I didn't see this mentioned and I am unsure if it impacts drop chance but after several dry runs with 0 mask usually 4 chest. Then around 6 zero-mask runs clicking cathedral trash-pile only, I put back on dark imagination (current easiest mask without org open) and it dropped on my second speed run with 1 mask, Also when the mail muncher spawned, it was with 1 mask as well, so there may be an increased chance with difficulty potentially.

Got it very quickly after doing 1 mask runs(maybe on like the 6th trash pile) unlike that ^&*!er mail muncher that took me long after obtaining the 100k swarmer...

If you are looking for these in Orgrimmar note that the one in the Drag is inside Gotri's Traveling Gear shop, and the trash pile to click are smaller then the other 4 so harder to notice. I ran around for a good 5 minutes confused about where this one was before I found it.

This is purely RNG. I've tried everything from full runs without masks to full runs with masks, doing cathedral and mage only with and without masks

10 ish trash piles with 1-2 mask on, no mount. Got my mount from my 2nd trash pile with 8 masks active. (Dwarven district.)

Got it after ~45 minutes of spamming the Orgrimmar vision.
Go in, kill 3 packs on the way to the first trash pile in the instance.
Click it, no luck = Macro

The first 20 minutes or so I used 0 masks.
The last 25 minutes I used 1 mask (Dark Imagination).

I have been farming orgrimmar visions with 0 masks for about a week, killing every trash pile. the mount has yet to drop for me.

If you're farming this mount or similar stuff, I highly recommend installing the addon "ZamestoTV_VisionHelper".
You don't need to copy coordinates from Wowhead anymore – icons will appear directly on your map and minimap.
No need to keep your browser open to check locations, since everything is shown in-game.

As a reminder, if u doin 8 mask run rares give 150 Sanity if u leck on sanity. Goblin glider is working, if u are lacking on speed. I tried serveral tries with alts with 3,4,5 masks and got the mount after some tries. (Mask of Imagination, Mask of Nemesis and Mask of Mulitudes with this mask combi. As 4th/5th Mask if prefer Mask of Pained and/or Mask Burned Bridge for easy and best regarding Mementofarm. I farmed with the recommend farm metho fast the 40k Memento Mount.

Also as a hint i had 691 Delve Belt, 683 GS, Head Enchant+Weapon Enchant+Gearset Entchants e.g Chest, Full Socketed Gear, Bufffood, Prepots, Healthstones and Healthpots, Drums, Flasks, Invispots, Repairbots, Augmentrunes, Weapon reinforcements e.g. Ironclaw Whetstone on Main and alts, which was really easy and fast to farm those things.

It's a neat little addon that helped me a lot with farming everything in visions. It’s also much lighter than WeakAuras, which is great if—like me—you have an older PC and don’t want to load tons of auras just to track basic stuff.

I didn't care much about farming the mount, but I just had the mob spawn TWICE in a single 5 masks run in Stormwind. Wouldn't let you loot it the second time though.

If your goal is only to obtain the Nesting Swarmite mount, just remove all masks, also don't take an assistance with you cause it picks fights you dont want to waste your time on, and just rush to these 4 spots:

I suggest skipping the Old Town one, for some reason some times I don't see the junk pile there like it's bugged and also mobs are very annoying. AOE everything just run on every junk pile, clean and interact.

I was just looking for mounts I was missing, and I saw this. Took all masks off, went in straight to the first pile next to honor hold. First pile and this drops. Mad.

Decided to farm the Nesting Swarmite took me 73 attempts.

I did a few runs with 8 masks without zero luck and a couple of runs with 5-6 masks.
After i opened the 73 attempt on 5 masks it dropped.

I do not think you'll have better odds the more masks you have.
But again who knows!
