Using 'Cell' addon, add a target frame.
Then use a macro /target Bursting Lightspawn

You can then use your normal heals like on your party only on the Lightspawn. You can basically double it's life, but it still has an internal timer that de-spawns it after a time. You cannot keep it alive forever, I tried.

This macro seems to work, however, you will need to click the macro again after you summon the elemental in order for it get focused.

There is currently a bug with this trinket specific to Holy Paladins. The Bursting Lightspawn will instantly despawn, no matter what its current health is, if you cast Consecration anytime during its duration.

The drop rate on this trinket is atrocious compared to the DPS and Tank trinkets. Seems kind of unfair. I've run PSF upwards of 45 times this season and not only has it not dropped for me a single time, but I haven't seen it drop for anyone else either.

Meanwhile, I've seen over a dozen Signets and Tomes. In fact, a Signet seems to drop almost every run...

EDIT: Finally got mine from a PSF +12 after 65 attempts (half of which were this week).

Regularely does 12m+ on pulls on my 658 version. I use a simpler macro to just target it

/target Bursting Lightspawn

You can cast Beacon of Virtue on it as well and it's fairly easy to keep up. Can confirm the bug is still there, if you use consecration while the trinket is up it instantly despawns :(

Tried it on a ToP7 and had several pulls where the trinket did 22-24m per cast. Easily one of the stongest DPS trinkets for a healer as far as I can see

With an ilvl of 674, I took a chance at a roulette wheel and it landed on this Myth track trinket.
Some things I wish I knew beforehand, and what I found via the cleave dummy trial:

Cast ticks are 2.02 seconds apart
On 2 targets, it hit for 625k each without crits. Total 1.28 mil damage per tick
On 5 targets, non-crits hit for 433k. 2.165 mil damage per tick
The spawned mob will not live indefinitely via heals, it cast 10 times max before an "energy" timer depletes
Without heals, the mob only cast 3 times before dying vs running out of energy
The casts can crit
The range of the cast of the mob is approximately an 8 yrd circle

I did a 暗焰裂縫 M++10 with a 655-ilevel (Hero 3/8) version of this 爆發聖光裂片. I wasn't able to optimize the Lightspawn's uptime in the speed run (but I ensured that he had HoTs on to stay alive). The 爆發聖光 contributed 16.7% to my damage done as the healer, or 68k DPS. I bet he can do more damage if you optimize the uptime for big pulls.

They had an entire season to fix this for Holy Paladins and they didn't bother. The Bursting Lightspawn it spawns is still immediately deleted if you cast Consecration after it. The "fix" for this is to have Consecration up before you use the trinket, but we shouldn't have to do that.
