Despite its lack of stats, this trinket is excellent for both single target (frequent equip procs) and AoE (on-use), topped by the reduced cooldown from proccing. Can crit, of course. The on-use boomerang effect reduces slightly in damage the more enemies it cuts through, making it still worthwhile to use on single target.

Looks like the quest is active on your account so you can loot the trinket on another character that has it on it's loot-table.
I got the quest on my evoker and looted the trinket on a hunter(survival) and I'm now able to turn in the quest on my hunter.

Loot specs listed for this, above, are incorrect. Ensure you check the actual instance loot table, for the correct spec this will drop for. I was running multiple followers with the above list, and was sorely mistaken to trust Wowhead. This is only in regards to what the in game guide says. For instance, my prot warrior isn't listed as being able to loot this, but Arms and Fury are - per the Adventure Guide loot table. Only Ret Pally is listed, but wowhead says differently! Don't trust this site, "trust"* what Blizz says.

*And then, it's a bit iffy.

ETA: Might be no causation from this correlation, but I switched to my Warrior with loot set to Fury, and got it first time through. Luck, perhaps, but worth a shot if you have a warrior alt.

Praise the WoW Item Restoration, I was able to retrieve the Overclocked Gear-a-Rang Launcher from my Enhancement shaman after finally getting the mount questchain drop in a SV +10 earlier on Prot Warrior.

Make sure to check all your dps-alts loothistory in case they had it as a drop you didn't pay attention to in the past months since the quest is Warbound.

Took me about 6 hours of follower dungeons (just doing the 2 bosses) to get this. I was on a Ret. Paladin and had Ret. loot seleced in case you are curious.

I have proc pally, went as ret x14 trys picked up this item. took me about 10 minutes run.

1. Follower
2. loot as ret
3. first to E.D.N.A. then master mechs
4. master drops tinket eventually
5. rinse and repeat till you got it on number 4

There's alot of delusional users flooding the comments with "i got it on first run godroll" fairy tales. -You're poisoning the well and misleading people.

The initial quest drop for the mech mount is a brutal 0.30% RNG lottery. Most of you won't see it without alot of runs. Stop listening to the 1% outliers who just happen to come on here and make it sound like it's a walk in the park. Alright?

And after you get the quest to drop, you have to farm 3 additional items. I just torched 5 hours NON STOP, enter-exit dungeon, enter-exit, on getting just one of those items (Overclocked Gear-a-Rang Launcher.) Pure suffering. That's the truth.
