If you see this in the auction house, take note of its item level, which will indicate the tier and the actual appearance / color. I'm a PVPer, so I really don't know any better. I bought the cheapest Visage of Devouring Flame in the auction house, and when I previewed it, it was the normal tier appearance. Well, when I actually received it in the mail, it was the LFR appearance, which is horrific game design since the preview tab showed it a different color. I was lucky enough to upgrade it (8/8), and that unlocked the normal tier appearance. Since it cost a lot, it would've been a nightmare to either resell or live with. Hope this helps a fellow non-PVEr. :) (none of the higher tier appearances unlocked at the maxed out 8/8)

I got this on my druid for 120k gold on the AH, does not transmog on other classes on DH's it seems, to to get the look on my druid, I need to have this item equipped.

Lots of different versions of this item in the game. Here's how the colours correlate:

Myth = purple
Hero = duller green/blue detail
Champion = bright green/gold detail
Veteran = blue

It doesn't strictly go by ilvl; the same ilvl may be different colours due to the upgrade levels.

I bought them all from the AH since the preview feature from the AH displays the same Green and gold iteration

ilvl 457 = bright green with gold crown

ilvl 483 = Light Blue/teal flame

ilvl 509 = dull green with blue/silver crown

ilvl 522 = purple flame

Is there a more efficient way to farm this transmog besides just running the raid each week? These mobs all have such a small chance to drop it that this seems like a near-impossible grind.
