Got this straight to my inventory after killing Overlord Mechagon in a rift. I used the item to guarantee a drop from that not sure if that has any impact on the mount drop.

so sick im a hardcore mount farmer plus green is my fav color plus a lot of the gear esp the rated pvp mogs are green, so sick! cant wait to get. glad it can drop off bosses too

I had this drop off of the Lich King, so it looks like any mount can drop off of any boss. I didn't use anything to guarantee a drop, it just dropped naturally.

If you are in a group with an Evoker friend, you can tell him to use the Spell called: Zephyr... while you use this mount

Anyone know if there is a green whelping battle pet to match the mount? I have the respective pets for the red and blue mounts.

I found the Feldrake's idle animation with its wings clipping into its body distracting, which ultimately influenced my decision to opt for the Scourgebound Vanquisher instead.
