This cannot be used while stealthed. Attempting to use it while stealthed will pull you out of stealth with an error saying as much (This does not consume or use the item). Attempting to stealth while the slow is active will remove the slow.

...odd. Stealthing doesn't remove the Quicksilver Sands slow, why does it remove this one...?

...that said, this could be very tangentially useful in world PvP, if you use this just before being mind controlled while you're near a cliff, which can make it so that the priest is unable to throw you off before the mind control wears off. The 50% slow buff (yes, weary sands is a buff) can then be right-clicked off once the priest stops trying to mind control you.

Unlike the two "<type> sands" items that buff your movement speed, this item can be used outside of outdoor Dragonflight areas.
