So me and my boyfriend were roleplaying on our blood elves and we were pretending to kill all of these undead. We eventually made our way to this very spot without even thinking about it and happened to see a necromancer NPC there that we RP-battled against. Then we saw this ranseur laying on the ground. We both got it and basically were rewarded for randomly roleplaying and happening upon it. Coolest %^&* ever. Thanks Blizz ♥

Dunno if it's just me but I had the Blood-Tempered Ranseur appearance unlocked from one saved in my bank from way back then and when finding this one on the ground, it wouldn't let me loot it or anything. Only targeting it. So I was unable to pick it up. Just leaving this here in case someone else runs into the same problem.

I have two Blood Elf Paladins.
My lvl 20 could not interact with the Fallen Knight's Ranseur on the ground.
I Switched to my level 70 and picked it up just fine with no pre-quest.
I still think that Terokk's Quill (black recolor) looks better with the Blood Knight armor set.

If you've completed the blood elf heritage armor quest line that beings with The Pride of the Sin'dorei and are trying to loot this item but can't, then you've gotten confused like I did. You need to reach exalted with Silvermoon and instead do the other blood elf heritage quest line that begins with Summons from the Matriarch. Once you've finished that whole quest chain (including turning it in at the end to Lady Liadrin in Silvermoon), go all the way back to Deatholme and the item should be lootable.
