This back has an average of 3% to drop chance from the tribute chest. For me it takes 8-10minutes to run in and out on farming mode for this. That means if I am "lucky" and get it on average drop rate, it will take me around 262-330min or 4hours22min to 5hours30min. This drop makes no sense for low levels as it will be around the rare loot drop in the game. You will be WAY ahead in level for this to be any use for you, unless you are VERY lucky and get it on first run at low level. Otherwise...this seems to be made for transmog before transmog came :S

Edit: I see it says 2% here but in this link is says 3%....so 2-3% drop chance which will even make it LONGER to get :(

Still dropping as of today, from a full Tribute Run (as a level 46 protection warrior) with only King Gordok of the bosses dead.

So for those who are having trouble getting this to drop and going "Man, RNGesus just hates me" Well, chances are its not RNG but you might be doing the run wrong.

If you are like me you probably just ran to the end of the dungeon, avoided killing anything along the way, killed King Gordok, and then opened the tribute chest only to see the same handful of blues over and over and never seeing the few pieces you are missing.

This was the problem I was having with the Redoubt Cloak and Gordok Bracers of Power, they just never dropped for me after a ton of runs and I really was wondering if I was just getting that unlucky. As it turns out, thanks to a comment by the user Twostar on the Gordok Bracers of Power Wowhead page, that was not the case at all! RNG was not the problem, the way I was doing the "tribute run" was.

The loot in the tribute chest at the end changes depending on what you do and after following his suggestion to arm the freezing trap to trap Slip'kik and then using the Ogre Suit and fooling Kromcrush I then proceeded to kill King Gordok and found that the Tribute chest contained more pieces of gear than normal. I got my Redoubt Cloak on my first time running it in that way and then my Bracers on my second run.

So if you are running this over and over and going "Man, this one item I need just isn't dropping" it may not be RNG but instead you may be doing the run wrong. Give it a few tries after trapping Slip'kik and fooling Kromcrush and see what happens. Again, this is a tip that was provided by the user Twostar and I felt it was worth sharing for those seeking this cloak or other items and wondering why they are never dropping.

You need to do a full tribute run to get this item to drop. That means you need to activate the freezing trap and use the ogre suit on captain kromcrush. This causes a 5th loot to drop from the chest instead of just 4 loots if you just run past/skip those 2 'bosses'. This item is part of the 5th loot slot table.
