If you're like me and briefly worried that you hadn't learned the appearance after looting Aegis of Salvation: It seems that the appearance got lumped in with shields from the Legion era. That's how far I had to scroll through my pages in the Appearances tab to find it.

(And yes, I did click on the pink-text link in-game. It didn't take me directly to the page the aegis was displayed on for whatever reason.)

I love the look of this shield, but it sits at such a weird angle on your back.

I'm submitting a bug report, it really doesn't look intentional (maybe submit some with me)

I love this shield, just something that needs to be fixed for it: the shield is at such an extreme angle when on your back that it clips into the back of your character's head.

I can confirm shield drops for anyone who can use shields. I got it on my venthyr warrior. loot spec NOT prot.

Once you have a character attuned to the Citadel of Loyalty, the most efficient way to farm the Aegis of Salvation is to station a few alts by the Black Bell, then click the bell on your attuned character to resummon the rares, log out, then log in on an alt to kill them (rinse and repeat). This does require your alts to be on the same layer as your main, so if you're unlucky you might not see the rares. I managed to get on the same layer 90% of the time, so it's definitely worth trying. If you have a friend who can summon the rares, then you can instead ask them to do it while you kill them on each alt.

As far as I understand you can get the transmog by looting it on any shield-wearing class (regardless of loot spec), but I am not 100% certain if this is required.

So the best method to farm this shield is this: take one character that can summon the rare and create trial characters that can loot the shield I made paladins. After two days of farming I got the shield with about 20 paladin characters but you can only create three trial characters per day I already had a shaman warrior and some paladins. For example if your main character realm is Silvermoon ( ! this is just an example any realm works ! ) then create the trial characters on Silvermoon. You do not even need to invite them to a group or have two subscriptions to do this trick. You simply bring the trial character to the rare spawn location then log to the character that can summon the rare log out again and log back into the trial character and kill the rare! Repeat this continuously. With this method it was an easy farm :)
