This information might still change since this is what I tested during the Shadowlands beta: 5th of October 2020

Looted from a 女王的栽培園儲藏箱 which is spawned by talking to the spirit after incubation is complete inside a 重生的野性種子.
Contains various different crafting materials which's amount depends on yield catalysts and chance to loot *special item with it.

Duration for incubation usually takes from 1h to 7d, depending on quality of the spirit and if 時光之葉 catalyst is shortening the incubation time. Each planted 時光之葉 affecting a 重生的野性種子 the shortens incubation time by 1d, but doesn't reduce the total incubation time below 1h.

Yield of contents is dependant on how many 野生夜綻花 catalysts are affecting the Wildseed of Regrowth. Satchels gain following affixes depending on the amount of yield catalysts:

0 = No affix, no multiplier to gains
1 = Large, adds a multiplier compared to previous
2 = Stuffed, adds a bigger multiplier compared to previous
3-4 = Overflowing, adds a bigger multiplier compared to previous

Quality of the satchel (and how it seems like, *special loot chance) is dependant on how many planted 野性種子根粒 quality catalysts are affecting the Wildseed of Regrowth:

0 = Common satchel and with
+0 yield catalyst 學徒的袋子 **
+1 yield catalyst 學徒的大型袋子
+2 yield catalysts 學徒滿載的袋子
+3-4 yield catalysts 學徒滿溢的袋子
1 = Uncommon satchel and with
+0 yield catalyst 熟工的袋子

+3 yield catalysts 熟工滿溢的袋子 **
2 = Rare satchel and with
+0 yield catalyst 專家的袋子

For now, how the plantation is, it seems like you can get maximum of:

1 wildseed with 4 catalyst plots affecting it
1 wildseed with 3 catalyst plots affecting it
2 wildseeds with 2 catalyst plots affecting them
1 wildseed with 1 catalyst plot affecting it

種子商人拂曉 sells catalyst seeds(時光之葉種子, 野生夜綻花種子, 野性種子根粒種子) you can grow in the wildseeds plots. Normally you get 1-3 catalyst plants per seed. Only catalyst that won't affect these is the quality one(野性種子根粒). Yield one(野生夜綻花) doubles the yield but doesn't seem to stack. Duration one(時光之葉) reduces the incubation time from 1d to 1h.

*special items so far have been pets and mounts/weapons and back item transmogs(these started coming with epic quality spirits). Testing with 1 quality catalyst I was able to get uncommon special loots and with 2 quality catalysts plus some luck there was sometimes rare special loots, with 3-4 sometimes even mounts. Chances for receiving special loots seems dependant on the rarity of the spirit. F.ex. epic quality spirit with 4 quality seeds affecting always resulted in receiving one epic quality reward like mounts and weapons and back item tansmogs.

**crafting material quality and contents varying heavily from worst amount of about ~5 (on no affixes) to highest amount of about ~115 (on Journeyman's Overflowing Satchel).

Edit: -weapons were changed from equippable actual weapons to just cosmetic weapons.

As you can see, the rewards from the Novice's Satchel are not worth the wait at all. 3 days of waiting for some low quality cloth? Ok. Better keep the souls till level 2 where you can add catalysts to your souls so the quality improves for better rewards than this stuff

So I 'freed' my first soul, and supposedly received "Novice's Satchel"... except I see *nothing* in my bags! I'm confused...

The contents of each satchel seem to be bit more complicated than you'd think at first glance:

The epic satchel you get with 4x 野性種子根粒 always has one flask + one feast in it. Not worthless at all, but generally you earn more from the satchels with crafting mats.
Each satchel will have a set of resources, picked randomly from the seven possible groups (meat, fish, enchanting, cloth, herbs, ore, leather)
Each 野生夜綻花 affecting the satchel adds another set of materials you get. So with 2 野生夜綻花 you get 3 sets of materials.
Each 野性種子根粒 increases the quality of a set of materials. For example, a leather set goes from 40 leather + 6 bones to 30 leather + 4 bones + 9 hides which is significantly more valuable due to high price of hides. For other material sets, the improvement is less significant.

Furthermore, the sheer number of catalysts connecting to the seed seems to also increase the size of material sets. For example, a set of leather with 0 野性種子根粒 provides different amount depending on number of catalysts:

30 leather + 4 bones
40 leather + 6 bones
50 leather + 7 bones
? - haven't seen this one yet

while a set of leather with 1 野性種子根粒 provides following sets depending on total catalysts

? - haven't seen this one yet
30 leather + 4 bones + 9 hides
40 leather + 6 bones + 12 hides
50 leather + 7 bones + 15 hides

Similar story with other types of materials. So what does all of that add up to? Results may vary depending on prices of various materials on your realm, but on my realm (a fairly expensive one) all of this means is that depending on the total catalysts to use, most profitable combinations are:

1x 野生夜綻花 provides around 400g worth of mats
2x 野生夜綻花 is better, this produces 700g worth of mats (1x 野生夜綻花 + 1x 野性種子根粒 is only about 500g)
2x 野生夜綻花 + 1x 野性種子根粒 and 3x 野生夜綻花 are both about 1100g
3x 野生夜綻花 + 1x 野性種子根粒, 1700g on worth of mats (2+2 combo is significantly weaker)
