This toy roughly doubles the size of any critters in the target space of the totem when you set it down, turns them void-purple, and makes them "angry" (their names turn red, ~~but they do not seem to aggro on you) (unless that is because I used the item as a level 60 character in a level 50 zone)~~ and sometimes they will aggro on you).

Despite the description saying "Place the totem at your feet", you can actually choose where it's placed -- you're given a reticle that you can put down, which is handy because it lets you see the Area of Effect as well.

The effect lasts for 2 minutes before the totem disappears and critters return to normal.

This toy does work on green-named critters, or critters that are normally otherwise unable to be interacted with! It also turns their names from green to red, which has amusing consequences in certain scenarios...
For example: In the lair of Gonk (a Loa) in Zuldazar, Zandalar, there are green-named critters called "Honored Child" gathered by the Loa's feet. Being green, you can't interact with them. But put this toy down, and the Honored Child names will turn red and their bodies become void... and the other, bigger green-named Child of Gonk NPCs will actually attack the Honored Child NPCs, until the poor critters are all dead!

If you use this item with 催眠護目鏡, the target critter sometimes retains its void appearance until the void-touched buff wears off! (I've tested it two separate times on two different critters, and one kept the void appearance while the other did not...) However, once the 催眠護目鏡 wears off, the critter seems to disappear/despawn, even if you are still standing in the same place where you hypnotized the critter.

Edit: This toy also seems to cause critters that walk into range of the totem to become affected by it as well, even if they were not initially in the target area when the toy was placed. Also, it seems to make the critters "angry" in a way that causes the critters to sometimes run very far away, and very fast! It's rather amusing.

Got it from an all masks run, it was in one of the smaller chests and not in the big one from the main objective.

This seems to indicate that the more zones you clear, the more chests you'll get with a chance to get the toy.

This is a very rare toy. Ive done about 50 or more visions and yet to get it.

Ran it 114 times, mostly just doing the Valley of Spirits and Thrall. Got bored and put on a few masks at times.

Finally dropped in a 5 mask full clear, it dropped from the Valley of Spirits box in the rewards room.

Sorry I don't know if the masks helped or not.

One thing I did was look for the blacksmith, in the building next to the poison note. If he wasn't there, I didn't do a full clear.
