This godforsaken item is going to become even more worthless in 4.1 now that reagents are no longer being required for virtually all ingame spells that used them previously.

Please, Blizzard. Just remove it from the game. Killing level 85 mobs and having items drop that also drop from level 25ish mobs is just silly.

Just sell it, shaman's are bound not even to use this as there's a glyph for water breathing to be reagentless. Who knows, with how they've changed water breathing now to make it a little easier this isn't even needed...

I don't know why so many people are complaining about these. Even if I have 10k gold to fritter away, who can say no to free money? Even if it's just 7 copper, it's still 7 copper you get for simply right clicking an icon. Better than nothing.

Because of the amount of weeping and gnashing of teeth I'm seeing here due to the annoyance of looting this item, I offer the following solution:

Sell-O-Matic2.

This add-on easily & automatically sells greys and any other item you wish to add to the sell list when you click on a vendor. Supports confirmations and exclusions as well, so you need never worry about accidentally auto-vendoring that treasured Red Defias Mask you've had since Vanilla. This add-on, when combined with Traveler's Tundra Mammoth eliminates all trips to town when farming until your bags are full of things you want to keep -- rather than stuff that you just have to keep throwing out of your bag to destroy, which costs you time.

As of Patch 5.0.4, Shiny Fish Scales have turned grey and are no longer needed for any recipes.
