Amazing for a 29 priest (healing or damage) or paladin, but not to be overlooked a 39 shadow priest (paladins and healing priests have a lot of other alternatives in terms of TBC enchants). This + soulfrost + umbral crystal seems to be pretty decent (8 stam, 5 int, 71 damage - SoJ w/ Soulfrost is a bit more int and damage but 0 stam and too much spirit) since there's no TBC enchantable priest one handers for the 39 bracket.

Windstorm Hammer 1H-Mace (Main Hand), was best 29-melee twink weapon because it could be enchanted with mongoose etc. (Horde)
Bleeding Crescent 1H-Axe (Main Hand), is another melee weapon for 29s. (Horde)
Skullbreaker 1H-Mace (Main Hand), is better choise for casters. (Horde)
Crescent of Forlorn Spirits 1H-Axe (Main Hand), good choise for paladins and shamans as its TBC-enchantable.(Alliance)
Archeus 2H-Sword, not so good but still tbc-enchantable. (Alliance)

All of the other items does not require over level 30+ to complete quest, totally completable at 29, some at 28.
All of them can be enchanted with TBC-enchants, except Windstorm hammer since 2.3 "nerf", (they changed item lvl under the enchants needed lvl).

With the nerf of the Windstorm Hammer back down to iLvl34, for new healer/shadow priest twinks to the level 29 bracket, this is the weapon to get. It is one of only two weapons capable of receiving the level 35+ enchantments. In a caster's case, that means:

81 Healing and 27 Spell Damage
30 Intellect
40 Spell Damage
Soulfrost

Melee DPS should look elsewhere, as the potential for Mongoose, Greater Agility, Potency etc. is balanced by a significant loss of DPS - especially for a main hand weapon. The decision of course is up to you and either way it is a handy weapon to have just in case of future changes.

Edit: Skullbreaker is now one-handed (formerly Main Hand). Rogues and warriors may like to use it situationally in their off hand for Mongoose, Battlemaster, Potency, etc.

This makes a great twink weapon for the 29 bracket, because it's one of the only weapon's for the bracket that you can place higher level enchants on. (Major Agility, Mongoose...etc)

Skullbreaker is also a great item for early prot pallys, since one of the first weapons youre gonna find with +Stam & +Int, two stats youre gonna want to focus on from now on.

TBH, this is an awsome 39 bracket weapon. I love using offhands for situaitonal battles (more sta,/int/spell power) and if u look at some of the offhands you can get at 39, this is better than the pvp staff, better than Staff of Jordan for healing since it doesnt have any stam, and the other good mace that has spell power o it only has spirit, no stam or int. And with the changes that 3.0.2 has brought to spell power/healing the 13/14 spell power offhands are super sweet, not to mention the ones i was looking at had stam, which we all know for twinking no stam=no survivability.

for 29s rogue that still have this one but are using sfang on MH instead

for the shadowfang at ilevel 34 have the same results of a skullbreaker MH, it should scale the equivalent of:

28 - 53 damage + 0 agility

or

the actual 22 - 43 damage + 60 agility

for better results than skullbreaker:

28 - 53 damage + 1 agility
or
22 - 43 damage + 70 agility

1 weapon damage adds 10 damage to the ambush source (shown above attack power)
1 agility adds 1 damage to the ambush source (above attack power)
10 damage adds 30 damage dealt with ambush, 1 agility adds 3
1 agility = 1/10 weapon damage

the only benefits from equipped OH is:
agility
bonus weapon proc
enchants
damage from auto attacks

sword off hand's auto attack hits harder than daggers, and since 40% bonus damage to ambush only aplies when a dagger is on MH, that causes the damage to drop drastically and 40% is lower than with a sword equipped on MH

so in MY point of view, BiS for 29s is skullbreaker MH and either Sfang or 1handed heirloom OH, BvB would increase the damage on ambush, but fast attack/low damage weapon, amazing proc btw which procs AoE elemental force
