The set bonus is really nice, even for just the 3 item bonus (if you have the highest rank aspect of the hawk, +120, +20% of that is +28 more, and that can be pretty helpful). Although, im not sure if the 8 piece set bonus stacks with the new hunter ability added into the survival tree with the 2.0.1 patch. If it does though, then it is definatly very helpful, if not, then this should give you more +RAP then the skill shound, and well the +20% bonus is still really good too =P

Well, for those of you who it matters to, apparently theres also a mod out there that changes all the purple on the DS gear (for those of you who dont like it) to black, for the golden-black color. I dont have the mod but a friend of mine does and he says it looks awesome. Not sure where you get the mod, but its out there =P

Well the 5 dragonstalker bonus and the 3 and 5 giantstalker bonuses are very good for a beastmaster specced hunter. And now with the expansion in hand, we all know that BM is a very good spec for leveling now, don't we? :D

Wow, I must have the worst luck. I've tried for these for about 5 months and still have yet to see them drop. Anyone else having bad luck with these or is it just me?

Edit: HOLY CoW! They finally dropped for me! After all this time farming them, they finally dropped! And to top it off, two of them dropped.. I'm keeping both...because. >_>

I know that many people have had an issue with the shoulders dropping. Before we down vote this I want to make clear that the suggested shoulders below look nothing like the model, and they do not fully match. However, I had my set in void storage way too long waiting on the shoulders. I had these drop by accident and they work pretty well til you get the drop.

I have had people come to me and say they like them better, they have a fire and breathing motion animation. If you are a solo junkie like me, don't vendor them, give them a shot.

Does anyone know if your legacy raid settings matter on this drop? I set mine to 25-man but it always shows 40-man when I enter it.
