The 髒髒黏液怪 is obtained from the 穢物桶 in Tol Dagor. To summon 惡臭的戈譚, click the Filthy Bucket, which is located in a hole in the wall. The hole is in 'The Brig', in the third cell to your right.

The pet is not a guaranteed drop.

The pet is cageable and therefore can be bought and sold on the Auction House.

Getting the 髒髒黏液怪 pet is easier than you may think!

To begin with, ~~you need 5 people~~ (EDIT: As of 8.3.7 it's soloable) in order to summon the rare. After assembling your group this is what you need to do :

Enter 托達戈爾 on Mythic difficulty and kill first boss. You can avoid most of the trash by just going left and around them until you reach the boss.
Clean trash in the "Drain" (ground floor/sewer) until you reach "The Brig" (1st floor)
On your way there look for a key https://imgur.com/a/Duo0aGD (they spawn on multiple random locations and are easy to miss.)
Possible locations for the keys are :

- Upon reaching the cell I marked on the second image above, you just open it using the key you have found.
- Lastly you enter the cell, go through the hole on the wall and arrive at a room with a bucket. Click on it and the 惡臭的戈譚 will be summoned. He is pretty easy to kill on a five man group around 340ilvl

Some general observations :

The drop chance cannot be determined yet but as far as my experience goes, in 10 runs everyone got it (it includes trading with each other).

It is not a guarantee drop. You may kill it and noone gets it.

It can drop more than once per person.

It can drop to multiple people at once.

It's personal loot but 穢物桶 can be traded with the other party members.

The pet is cageable and can be bought/sold on the Auction House.

The key ( 遺失的牢籠鑰匙 ) looks like this in your bags : https://imgur.com/a/KIqxkOq ( It says it lasts one day, but as soon as someone unlocks the cell, all party members' keys disappear from bag). You just have to loot a new one every time you enter the instance.

You don't really need the key to open the cell, if you're a rogue or have Blacksmith/Inscrip you can use the crafted items that pick locks to open the cell and go to the bucket in the back and spawn the elite.

Was able to solo my way to the pet as a 471ilvl outlaw rogue, but any classes with enough self-sustain or that can deal enough damage before getting killed should be able to solo as well. It may be preferable to go rogue for 開鎖, but a scribe with 解鎖卷軸 or a blacksmith with 蒙那萊骷髏鑰匙 can also unlock the gates. Anyone else will have to find a 遺失的牢籠鑰匙, located around the dungeon.

惡臭的戈譚 spawns by clicking the bucket located in the 3rd cell on the right in The Brig (the floor below 傑斯‧嚎里斯's). The slime had about 5.2M HP.

It'd be wise to bring 深淵治療藥水s for healing and drums if your class cannot lust/hero. On my rogue, I was able to keep myself alive by spamming 命運之骰 for 大亂鬥.

You can try for the pet more than once per week if you join someone else's group or if you let the dungeon soft reset (30min outside the instance).

Update for farming this in Shadowlands. It's very easily soloed by any ilvl 200+ character, I'm sure lower is also doable but it'd be annoying. I used a 230 Moonkin and a 204 Rogue. The Moonkin would kill bosses much faster, but the rogue has the advantage of being able to skip the drainage pipe, and not having to find the key. Both chars did a clear in about 5 minutes once I became comfortable with everything.

Took me 13 attempts before I got the pet. I suspect it would have been much more effective trying to do it with other players and trading inbetween.

Both 1st boss as well as the boss dropping the pet have 287k health, and will not make much of a dent in a 60's health. Trash mobs are grey and have 50-60k health. Even a non-stealth class will be able to skip much of it.

I found one key location that was not shown in the linked screenshots in the highly upvoted post. It was on the floor in the room with the crocs.

You can reset mythic difficulty dungeon over and over, it might just not be fully obvious how to go about it. If you try to do it normally while fully solo, it will not reset. What you need to do is start a custom group in the premade group finder tool. No need to invite another player, just having the game think you're in a group will make the reset work.

Has anybody seen it drop in DF? I see comments here that the pet has 10-15% drop chance (7-10 tries), but I'm on my 40th try already.

Maybe it is capped 1 try per day? Maybe some obvious pre-requisites that I can't see?

As of patch 11.1.7, it still drops.

As mentioned somewhere here, you can work around the weekly lockout and try endlessly on the same character. Put yourself in LFG (Group Finder -> Premade Groups -> Custom -> Start a Group), don't invite anyone. And just reset the instance after a run. I did it like this today, pet dropped on run 14.

Take your rogue, if you have one. So you can take the shortcut (just to straight ahead after entering the tunnel, picklock the gate) and more important, no need to find the key. After killing the mob, run back, go out, reset, and try again.
