Obtained from Devilsaurs found in Un'Goro crater. They are easily soloable by a lv60 druid. Just be careful of the Devilsaur's that use fear. My technique is to attack the Devilsaur in bear form then use bash and cast regrowth, then back to bear. You can also use hibernate and then use healing touch.

If you don't want to use the Devilsaur Leather in making items it usually sells well on the AH. I can get around 1G per piece on my server (this will vary depending on your server).

DISCLAIMER: Don't blame me if you die a hundred times and spend 50g on repairs. It's your fault for following my guide!

I'm hunting these for gold on a level fifty-nine enhancement shaman wearing gear that rocked in fourty-nine battlegrounds but now is painfully outdated. Currently using a two-handed axe from a Thrallmar quest, so the Windfuries are uncommon but take out a good chunk of any Devilsaur's health. They can be extremely difficult, and you'll probably die a few times in the process.

My strategy:
1) Throw on a Lightning Shield and make sure Windfury Weapon is active.
2) Lay down whatever totems you like. If you aren't fighting a Tyrant, Stoneskin or Strength of Earth can be useful, otherwise you'll want a Tremor Totem. I recommend using Mana Spring or Mana Tide no matter what kind of Devilsaur it is, because you will most likely run out of mana by the time the battle is over.
3) Get within Shock range, and begin casting Lightning Bolt immediately. Follow up with just one more.
4) Soon as the Devilsaur reaches you, put down a Fire Nova Totem.
5) Stormstrike, Earth Shock, Earth Shock until it's dead. Use Lesser Healing Wave when necessary.

You will want to be extremely paranoid about keeping your health up when fighting either Tyrant Devilsaurs (brown) or Devilsaurs (white), because they can interrupt your vital heals at the most inconvenient time (ie. when you're one hit away from death) by using either Fear or Mighty Blow, respectively.

Other than that, just pray that your Windfury will go off often, and crit even more often. Good luck! :)

On a side note, these go for 2.80g on Ravenholdt US (Horde-side).

I'd like to add, that as bear you can use frenzied regeneration (1500 health or 2000 at level 56) making it rather easy to kill these beasts.

As a level 54 BM Hunter with a lvl 53 pet, these guys were really not that hard at all. The lvl56 Devilsaur posed a problem at first because I aggroed him early from my pet but besides that... if played right it goes great.

Just make sure you use Mend Pet, Rapid Fire (I'd use it about halfway into the fight), and if need be, kite. Though, because they are so fast its kinda hard. Concussion, Frost etc etc

The one that fears (Tyrant, I think?) just bring on Bestial Wrath.

Not a problem at all for a Hunter.

As a hunter, you can easily take the Devilsaurs on level 50 + but if you want to make it a "joy ride" do it on level 55 +.Basicly, you get this from the devilsaur located in Un'Goro crater.The freeze trap is your best friend

I decided that I wanted some Devilsaur leather for a low-level toon of mine, since the clothes it makes are one of the best DPS sets for just about anyone. So I took my then-level-70 dwarf out to gank some Devilsaurs.

A mini-troll was out doing some questing when my /target macro located a Devilsaur near him, and I proceeded to burn it down right before his eyes.

When I was finished, the troll immediately went into a paroxysm of emotes: /cheer, /hug, /cheer, /kiss, /cheer, /dance, /cheer.

The moral of the story: killing Devilsaurs for their leather will not only get you some really good gear (and potentially some really good money), but will make all the levelers love you. Even the opposite side.

Just soloed a few as a lvl 52 druid. Wasn't really hard at all.

I'm guessing any healing class would probably do fine to kill them.

52 affliction lock had absolutely no trouble killing devilsaurs. Simply keep DoTs up and drain, fear if you start taking too much damage.

At lvl 50 as Enhance, I had 2/2 Frozen Power and soloing these guys was a breeze. Max distance Frost Shock them, and then just keep kiting them back. Throw down an Earthbind totem if you want, but it's not necessary. Just make sure that while you are kiting them, you don't back into any other aggressive mobs and stay at max distance!

As of 4.0, drop rate of devilsaur leather from skinning has dropped. it's not 100% anymore. Not sure if the current rate on wowhead is accurate, I am sure it will be as time goes by.

Devilsaur Queen at 34.81 in SW corner of Un'Goro drops devilsaur leather at every kill--at least it did for me. Spawns every 20 seconds or so.
55 Elite, so take your big brother with you.

The best NPC to farm it now is 魔暴龍女王.

If what somebody above said was true (not 100% drop), then things definitely have changed since 4.0.6. Now I observe 100% drop from 魔暴龍女王, taken from 40 sample kills. Besides, the respawn rate after looting is about 25 seconds.

If you need this stuff, just kill the Devilsaur Queen for it. High drop rate and she respawns quickly. Of course, people needing her for a quest will get pissed at you, if you continuously kill her while they're trying to do the quest, so be mindful of that and don't be a jerk.

魔暴龍女王 is the best source of this now, the drop rate is 100% and she respawns between 28 and 30 seconds after death. I needed 20 to make 魔暴龍皮護腿 and 魔暴龍護手 for my druid - using my level 80 hunter and the guild perk I obtained all 20 in less than 7 minutes.
